The definitive boot - Predator
Review of Adidas Predator Precision by
andycharger
Advantages: Good boots
Disadvantages: A lot of money
...Predator boots....
Simply the best as far as im concerned.
The new designed boots are possibly the most strange looking and most expensive they have made. £129 is a lot for footy boots.
They look strange because the laces are not down the centre of the boot, they are offset to the side. This allows the ball to be struck cleanly with the top of the foot and not misaligned on its flightpath by bobbly laces.
The front of the boot looks very similar to the older model with the rubber teeth to grip and spin the ball.
saying that, rather than individual knarled teeth, each tooth now has fine grooves in it for better ball control.
Unless you are Beckham, its not going to make much difference to your playing style and ball curve.
Underneath is possibly where the biggest difference is. Rather than the normal rounded studs...

Predator Prowess
Review of Adidas Predator Precision by
Havling
Advantages: Very Sleek, Very Comfortable, Improved Performance
Disadvantages: Price,
...The new Adidas Predator are quite simply brilliant!
Having owned the previous Predator Boots which I thought were outstanding, the new 'model' eclipses all that have went before them!

There are two configurations on sale, one for playing on hard pitches, and one for the winter months which optimises grip for playing in the mud. These blades are FIFA approved and Adidas call them the Traxion System.
The Leather
As you would expect, the genuine...

Predator. oh yes.
Review of Adidas Predator Rapier Traxion by
jonnyboy007
Advantages: The best boot for curling a football and one touch control.
Disadvantages: The pads on the flat of the foot wear down if you use them too much.
...The Rapier Traxion was at one time the best adidas football boot going. We all know that Becks has scored a few free kicks with them when he wore them. The day i bought my predators i was so happy you would have thought it was Christmas. Yet still it dented my pocket severly. But at £90 when i bought them, i didnt care. I had a pair of predators. Now you can bid for these gems and get away with paying 15 squids and less for them. If your a good passer of the ball the Predator Rapier t's are outstanding because you can play with your curl of the ball and notice the results straight away. This is because of the positioning of the pads on the front of the boot. They allow more grip on the ball when it is kicked to increase curl and also power, and allow a better control of the ball for the same reason. The durability of the Predator...
