This rod has a casting weight of 60-110 grams, and is 7ft in length, it is suited for the largest of lures and medium sized jerk baits. Braid wise you want to be looking at 50-65lb breaking strain. Couple this with a nice heavy trace, personally i use around 80lb for the bigger lures, and you are rocking and rolling. Its a great rod and can handle a wide variety of lures, so with one of these, and a ligher rod, somthing like 10-40 gram casting weight, then you will be covered for nearly all situations you are likely to come across.
