Its a great rod and can handle a wide variety of lures, so with one of these, and a ligher rod, somthing like 10-40 gram casting ... ...you are likely to come across.
Its a good length, especially for tight work on both rivers and lakes, and is especially suited for boat work, as its not too cumbersome...
Casting lures it is great, some rods are way under rated or over rated, but this seems about right, you could go 10 - 20 grams either side of the casting weight, and it wont feel to bad at all.

As with most lure rods, they are not the best to play fish on, as most are like broom sticks, but this is rather good, and has enough give in it to make it an enjoyable expreiance. Overall a very useful rod that can cover a wide range of lures. also it is not going to break the bank.
