...£40 ensures that I have trouble free golf, and it is now an essential part of my golfing armoury, leaving me far less tired and able to concentrate better on the game in hand, and not on humping and pulling.

~ ~ My Powakaddy, the Classic, cost me £300 (Irish Punts) back in 1999.
The company web-site (www.powakaddy.co.uk) doesn’t seem to quote current prices, as all equipment is sold exclusively through golf professional shops and a nation-wide chain of agents.
It does list however all stockists, with contact numbers, so if you have an interest it shouldn’t be too difficult to find your local dealer.
The Powakaddy range is extensive, ranging from their new Freeway trolley, which seems to be a smaller version of my own Classic (and cheaper?) through to elaborate sit and ride trolleys...

Advantages: Cheap, lots of different activities, and venues Disadvantages: sometimes busy.
...service level has been excellent. Also, which I found quite surprising, the steam room and sauna are always friendly chatty places, rather than stare-at-your-toes-in-silence areas. And on occasions is set-aside for single sex groups.
There are changing areas close to every facility (mixed in some areas) and I have always found them to be clean, tidy and with plenty of cubicles.
And the best bit? Saved until last, is the price. Only £19.99 per month! Unbelievable but true! You do have to pay by direct debt, but personally I find this a lot easier than receiving a bill or having to pay in person at the start of each month.
All of the machines are new at Ponds Forge and they all have the same (or similar) control panel, which makes it very easy for a beginner like myself.

Advantages: Nice Pick-Up, Decent Middle, Good Value Disadvantages: Soft-Wearing, Only Lasted 2 Seasons
...so many changes to it that it isn't really a Relfex any more. The stickers on the relfex are purple by the way (in case that made ANY difference to your reasons for purchasing!)
Aftercare on the Reflex is excellent. It is recommended that after the first season of use, the bat is returned to the bat make you got it from for an end of season service, where the blade is smoothed and sanded, stickers reapplied if that kind of thing is important to you, the handle and splice checked and if you want, a new toe guard and protective coating applied. All of this costs about £20 and is well worth it.
Returns on the Reflex (I have had to use it in the past) are excellent. If your bat breaks or splits during a game, it has definitely happened to me, take it back to the agent and they will replace it free of charge for the first couple of years...
