Advantages: Easy to read display Disadvantages: Clocks up steps you haven't done
...If you are determined to walk the recommended 10,000 steps a day then one of these little things is perfect to let you know how well, or not so well, you are doing.
This is just a step counter and not a pedometer, a pedometer will count your miles, steps, calories, speed and all sorts of things for the more hard core of you out there, the step counter just counts steps!
The step counter is really small, light, and discrete so you can wear it anytime and it won't bother you. It just clips on to your waistband, front or back and off you go! It doesn't need to be set up for your stride, it works on the pendulum inside with the movement of your legs, every time you take a step it moves the pendulum hence counting your step!
The only downside to not having to input your stride is that it's not very accurate, if you are standing still...

Advantages: compact, easy to use Disadvantages: occasionally noisy, my abs didnt get workout from trainer
...and compact you can tuck it away in a corner without to much trouble. I found it easy to use and watched tele or listened to music will on it. My main problem was getting bored while stepping. I overcame this by either stepping when a good tv show was on or listening to up-tempo music I like. But if the tv show or music wasnt good I would soon loose motivation or interest (as i was stepping up to 45 mins every eve). As for the trainer itself I found the cords a great help myarms and chest are more defined and stronger. But the trainer doesnt work your abs like they say on the tele, i found that my abs and obliques just didnt get a workout from this trainer, but to be fair I have never used it with very high resistance as I was trying to lose weight so I used the fast fat burning setting. In the 2 months i've had the trainer ive lost 20 lbs...

Advantages: Small and easy to store - gives cardiovascular work out Disadvantages: Can get boring
...and wellbeing, I needed to find a way to do it. I considered jogging but in the winter in the rural area where I live it is quite dangerous along the narrow country lanes so I discounted that in much the same way as I did cycling for the same reasons. I do not like swimming so that really only left either joining a gym or exercising at home.
I have done both in the past and I was quite good at being a regular attender at the gym however there isn't one nearby and the half an hour journey there and back would put an hour onto my day before doing any exercise which meant I was left with considering exercise at home.
So I looked around for something to meet my needs - it needed to be compact and easy to store, not too expensive, easy to use, not too noisy and effective.

I recently laid quick step uniclic flooring in a relatives bedroom. This is the 12th laminate floor I have laid, 6 were glued boards and 6 have been click style boards, so I'm definitely qualified to speak on the subject!
