...; putter.
This skill never really left me as I grew older, and all through my golfing career I used the same putter, a John Letters “Golden Goose”. This putter is now a collector’s item in its own right, and I had it valued a couple of years ago at £1,500, although I would never even dream of parting with it for sentimental reasons.
~ ~ So just imagine my dismay and consternation when in 1999 this old and trusted friend suddenly decided to start to play tricks on me, and to resolutely refuse to do what he was told and put the little white ball into the hole.
I quite simply had to use him far too often during a round, and this was having disastrous effects on my golf scores, handicap, and general mental health.
It was with much reluctance that I decided that it was time for, if not a divorce, then certainly a trial...

Advantages: bye bye 3 putts Disadvantages: some people may find ugly
...I bought one of these very funny looking putters back in July and it is the best £120 i have ever spent in all my 10 years playing golf.
I was in the market for a new putter and most of my friends used the odyssey 2 ball model. I tried this out many times but never really got on with them. My pro suggested i try out this new model from Ping and i have never looked back.

I used to suffer from about six foot in but my scores have really started to drop since buying this odd looking creation!! Putting is all about confidence and this has given me loads. I honestly cannot remamber the last time i three putted since buying this.
The gip...

Advantages: Good breaking power Disadvantages: nothing
...)
As with other disc brakes you get excellent breaking power in most conditions, wet, dry, snow..
I have to say that for £15 quid you get a good bit of breaking power. Hats off to avid for that. I do think it is a little expensive though as really your not far off the price of some pads for a car, realistically they are more expensive, but thats the price you pay for technology.
Breaking wise you get firm and even breaking with the Avid pads, on my last ride I couldn't say there was any point I was actually wondering how quickly I was going to stop, always a good thing.
All in all I would recommend these pads, seem to be reasonably priced compared top others and they do exactly what they say they do....
