... By digital camera standards, the Fujinon 6x, f2.8 lens, with a 35mm equivalent of 35mm to 200mm zoom, is a very good lens, but in terms overall, it really isnt. A better lense would have significantly increased the cost of the camera, and I definately wouldnt have paid the difference.

adjust the light entering the camera, and more importantly to protect the camera lens. Lens filters improve photographs by giving you control over light and allowing you to emphasize the features of a scene that you consider most important. This filter kit is a combination of the three essential filters no photographer should be without. PLEASE NOTE: Some cameras require an adapter tube to fit the filters. This filter set is compatible with the following camera models: Fujifilm FinePix S602, FinePix S602"

...the other cameras made by Fuji it really does seem to be the cream of the crop. For example the new finepix S5000 has a real cheap and nasty feel to it. It has a 10x lense, mind you, but its no match for the 602 in my mind. And the F7000, in my mind, is just simply not worth the money. ...

Advantages: Compact, Well designed, Easy to use, trouble free Disadvantages: Lens could be better, No power cable as standard
The Finepix 602 has also some genuinely unusual features, including an amazing 640x480, 30 frames/second motion capture mode, special high-ISO modes (to ISO 1600) that cleverly trade resolution for lower image noise, and a couple of motor-drive modes that really help you capture fleeting moments especially in low light.
I have used the 602 for two years now and have been very happy with its performance. I recently took the camera with me to my friends ...

Advantages: Picture Quality, Feature Rich, Easy to Use, Versatile Disadvantages: Eats standard batteries, No charger or extras included
...I have been using the FujiFinepix for about 2 years now having taken thousands of photos during that time so the following is based on substantial experience of using this camera.
When purchased this camera was supplied with nothing more than the camera, some standard batteries, a 16mb memory card, a strap, lens cover and manual as well as leads to connect to a pc and some software for the PC.
As most people tend to do I immediately set up the camera and took some photos. On standard settings the 16mb memory card held about 15 photos. Not much use. Fortunately I had a 64mb card thrown in by the store so I was able to take another 40 or so but still not many.
For this reason if you buy this camera I would suggest you also buy a 1gb compact flash card which will work in the slot designed for microdrives. I can fit over 600...

Advantages: Advanced and comprehensively loaded camera, but can still be used for 'point-and-shoot'. Disadvantages: Stupid name...but aren't they all?
...Pentax cameras used to have an advertising slogan: Just hold a Pentax.
The point was that the camera felt good to hold; solid, ergonomic and well-built. It fit your hand well, and felt comfortable. Hold one in a camera shop, and you would be well on the way to buying it.
The slogan has gone, but the advice behind it remains. If you’re going to spend money on a camera, make sure you get it in your hands first, that it’s comfortable, well-built and that it suits you. If it feels good, and assuming all the features are what you’re looking for, then chances are you’ll be happy with it.
OK. Lecture over, and on to what this opinion is actually about: My latest photographic acquisition, the FujiFinepixS602 Zoom.
‘Not a Pentax then?’ I hear you ask, in a puzzled sort of way.
No, not a Pentax, but a camera that begs to be held...

Advantages: Great Pictures, great quality for print Disadvantages: Not cheap, so many buttons !
...Having worked within web design for five years now I have made do with an old Sony digital camera....until now. The FujifilmFinepixS602 Zoom Digital Camera is a powerful beast. It is the first digital camera I have used that really does feel like a camera. You can adjust the exposure, emulate shutter speed etc.
However all this power does not make it easy to use - and - unlike me have a play with it before you go visiting a client !
But honestly it has been a great buy and after some practice I have finally got the hang of taking good pictures.
I would recommend that you use this camera with a tripod, it is not very resistent to any shake or movement when taking a picture.
This is definetly not a camera for a beginner, as the auto features does not always give the best picture, but for a beginner that is willing to learn...

When i opened the box for my Fuji S5800 camera about a month ago, I knew that I had made a good choice for my second camera. I still have my Pentax Optio S7 but I wanted a camera that would allow me much more creativity with my photos.

After a succession of digital cameras, my samsung started eating batteries, a replacement was needed, and the SF1000 seemed ideal; 10 mp and a 12X zoom. It was on offer in a local camera shop at £130, so I bought it.
