...this though it seems that Fujifilm have thought of everything as the zoom button next to it is not activated by a press action but by a pull down/push up.
To the left of the zoom button is a 'macro' button for close-up photography. I've not used this yet so can't comment on its effectiveness. Sorry.
Also, if you can't find a willing passer-by to take a snapshot of you and your mates you can always rely on the self-timer function.
The XD memory ... ...All in all the Fujifilm Finepix F410 was a great buy. I love it and take it everywhere with me! So, if you're looking for a digital camera which will provide you with great photos without loads of hassle and won't cost an arm and a leg then I think this is probably the camera for you.

I tried to do as much research for my digital camera, as it was my first. It's almost impossible to find a perfect product, as you probably already know, but this camera comes pretty close. Ok, it has a couple of downsides, but for amatuers like me its great.
Firstly its small and light, a great size and shape, so you can carry it everywhere with you, as I do! The battery life is excellent, although buying a spare is a worthwhile and inexpensive ... ...just whip the camera out and slide across the panel on the front of the camera. Getting what you want in your picture is no problem using the screen as opposed to the viewfinder - of course this uses more battery, but unless you're using it non-stop all day you probably won't have a battery problem. There are no specific 'scene modes' with this camera, but there are options such as continous shooting, and 5 flash options, and the software provided ...

We were given £300 as a wedding gift and decided to buy a digital camera to take on honeymoon with us, wanting to get as much for our money as possible and also the necessary bits to download onto our home pc. It only came with a 16Mb (about 35 photos worth as we found out ) memory card though, so we spent the rest of the £300 (and added a little extra) on a 256Mb card (which gave us up to 550 photos!)
The main things we were looking for (after ... ...good range of features, (zoom, deleting and in-camera editing mode) that it was small and lightweight - to fit in my evening bag, and was basically a "point and shoot", no messing about, setting it up to take a shot. After looking at a few other makes and models we decided to go with this one as it was the best price and met all of our needs. With a flash of blue lights, the camera instantly turns on. Compact as it may be, the F410 packs serious optical performance: an f/2.8 Fujinon 35 zoom lens, equivalent to 38-114 mm on a 35mm camera. A smooth digital zooming function offers up to 4.45 additional magnification. The FinePix F410 features the Photo Mode button, an entirely new concept in digital camera operation. This gives you one-button control over image quality parameters, including sensitivity (Auto/Manual, selectable from ISO equivalent 200, 400, and 800 at Manual setting), image file size, and color mode (Standard, Chrome, and B&W). The Chrome color setting, for example, slightly boosts contrast and saturation for a look that resembles color slide film.
