GT Avalanche 2.0 Disc

Advantages: Looks fantastic, build quality, good engine.
Disadvantages: Rear seats are hard to get into.

...This is our family?s newest member, a 09 plate Scirocco 2.0TSI and I?m more than impressed. There was a long wait from the factory (around 12 weeks), but it?s arrived now, and wow! We?ll start off with the looks of the car. I?d say it?s not to everyone?s taste, because it is so different, could well be a love it or hate it type of thing. It certainly get?s looks, while driving through a small town, a teenager pointed and stood with his mouth open as we cruised past. The build quality is very good as well, as you?d expect with a German car. We previously had a VW Passat in it?s place, which of course had a good quality of build, but this is something else! As soon as you open the doors it?s just in a different league to the 02 plate Passat. The interior has nice sports seats as you?d expect, but what I really like is the sports seats... Read review

Advantages: Performance, handling, comfort, service costs.

...The Primera GT has to be my favorit car out of all that I have owned, it is very comfortable, quick, handles very well and has had excelent safety ratings. I bought my 1997 Primera GT in January 1998 after deciding to change my Primera 1.6 for something newer. I was already aware of the Primera’s excellent ride and handling, but wanted a bit more power, and that’s exactly what you get with the GT. Having driven Mondeos, Vecrtas, Passats and A4s I still believe the Primera to be the better drivers car of the bunch. Shortly after buy the car I travelled down to South of France, covering the 800 miles journey over night in one go, and not feeling one ache or pain at the end. Performance is another area I feel it excels, although it has a relatively small power band (4000-7000rpm), when it is within these revs it really does... Read review

Advantages: Solid frame, very good brakes and smooth gears.
Disadvantages: Tyres are too chunky for road riding, if thats what your into.

...This bike is ideal for anybody looking to do any sort of offroading. It is well equipped with tektro auriga hydraulic disk brakes which are silky smooth and have plenty of braking power. The great thing about the GT is that it has a lock-out on the forks which makes riding on roads a bit easier. I find this useful as i commute on it. I chose a mountain bike because i prefered the riding position and the fact i can take it off-road if i so choose. The tyres that come on the bike are chunky enough for off roading but for road riding they have a fair bit of rolling resistance, i swapped mine over for a set of semi-slicks for road riding. This bike is well worth buying and i would reccomend it to anybody.... Read review
