...The best in sprung mtbs, The Idrive is so smooth and the bike is so silky that this bike is a pleasure to ride anywhere.
The research I did into this bike before buying it warned of problems with mud in the Idrive system, my friends told me this was a bike designed for california and not Suffolk. I bought it any way.
I have covered 3000 miles trough Suffolk mud and on roads. It has never let me down and is quite the smoothest bike I have ever ridden. Tough yes. Durable seems to be so far. A great all rounder both uphill and down. It is downhill that this bike really shines it has control and the judy shocks really do keep the front in line but through it all the Idrive really keeps the drive on the ground and it really is a competitive machine.
Well worth a try and well worth the money....

...The xcr 4000 Idrive is the smoothest fully suspended MTB I have ever had the good fortune to ride. It is the Idrive system that gives this bike a long travel suspension ride that moves well and is clever enough not to sap any of your forward energy as you ride. I have used this bike on road and off road in both the dry and wet and the Idrive has never let me down.
The price you pay includes shimano deore chainset and shift. judy front shocks and vanilla fox rear.
The package is strong yet light and is therefore excellent value.
The balance of the bike is spot on. It is the comfort of the bike that will sell it to most.
If you only have £600 to spend on a mountain Bike then this is the best value you will find....

Advantages: good brakes fork and frame better than its competitors Disadvantages: long stem
...I bought a GT avalanche over a year and a half ago and I can easily say it is a great bike I do a lot of cross country mountian biking and the bike is great for the up hills and downhills. The frame is light and strong and is great value for money. The brakes are hydrolic so there is a lot of stopping power and for a bike at this price it is a bargin. The gears work great there are 27 in total and the shimano deore is a great rear mech. The rock shock forks on this bike are study and absorb the bumps allowing for nice following ride. they are 100 mm and there is a lock out feature. After over a year of heavy usage this bike has had little in the way of faults so is well worth the money....
