This is an extremely useful piece of kit, I originally purchased it to use for Geocaching but now use it as a pedometer as well, its great for parking up in the countryside and setting your car as a waypoint, you can then wander around knowing you'll always be able to get back to the car.
The menu system is pretty intuitive and doesn't take long to pick up at all, it tracks maximum speed, average speed, time moving, distance travelled, distance to waypoint.
The battery life lasts a long time and its comfortable to wear on its wrist strap. Acquiring a signal seems to be quite fast and it maintains this unless you enter heavily wooded areas.
Overall I have been very satisfied in the 2 years I have owned my Foretrex
