When the tent is in it's carry bag it is easy to carry and not particularly heavy.
Previous to our camping trip i got all the bits of the tent out and had a read of the assembly instructions. The tent comes in a 3 -in-1 carry bag, with the two inner bits in one compartment, the outer tent in another compartment and the pegs, poles and repair kit in the little on in the middle. (I thought the fact that it came with a small repair kit was quite good!) When the tent is in it's carry bag it is easy to carry and not particularly heavy.
Previous to our camping trip i got all the bits of the tent out and had a read of the assembly instructions. I just wanted to make sure i knew where all the poles went as the inner 4 person bedroom had to go first and i wanted to be able to do it quickly if it was raining so it didnt get too wet. It all seemed fairly straight forward.
Putting the tent up: We arrived at the campsite and the sun was shining, so there was no need to put it up asap. We got all the bits out and began putting it up. We got the bigger bedroom up in minutes and pegged it down. Then put the next two poles through the outer tent and got that up and pegged in a few more minutes. Then the smaller bedroom just hooked in really easy with toggles. Then we went round and pegged out everything and the guy ropes. It was up within half an hour, which i thought was pretty good.
The bedroom was a good size, plenty of space in there. The smaller bedroom (on the other side of the tent) was good too, (not sure you'd get two adults in there but a couple of kids would get in there easy). We used this for storage as there was only the two of us. The living area was good too. It rained on only one day and there was enough room for the two of us to sit on chairs in the living area. It was also quite windy, the tent did blow a bit, and you did see the inner get slightly wet, but no water dripped inside the tent or anything, and considering it rained for a full day i thought that was quite good!!
The only down side to it i would say, is if there was say a family of four, adults in the bigger bedroom and two kids in the smaller bedroom, there wouldn't be alot of storage space for all your stuff. There would be space to store it all in the living area but you couldn't sit in there then, and you wouldn't get a family of four sat in the living area either, but for the two of us, there was plenty of space, or i guess if a family of four was just saying somewhere for 1 or 2 nights the space would be sufficient too. The smaller bedroom however can be removed, so if you were to buy an extra groundsheet and sleep 4 people in the main bedroom, then you would have plenty of space to store things and sit four people if it was to rain.
As an overall comment i would say this tent is a good sized tent, weather proof, and ideal for familys. I was pleased with it.
With two bedroom compartments, this tent offers plenty of space for the family. The smaller bedroom can be removed to have even more storage area.
