...I went for the TD4S, it's the lowest specification model, no air con, steel wheels, one driver side air bag, basic radio/casette. The plus side to this is it's less attractive to potential thieves than a TD4 with all the "bells"
The car drives very well as the 1951cc diesel engine is excellent. I have not found any great problems with acceleration it moves off quite well and while not a sports car it copes when there is a need to pull away a bit sharpish in to moving traffic. The gearing is excellent, very positive and quite forgiving if you are over geared for the speed, takes a lot to stall it. It has a hill descent control device on the gear stick, designed for descending steep slippery off road hills. I don't think I will ever use this facility and maybe should have been an optional extra. The car handles very well and is nice to...

Advantages: Powerful engine, it makes you feel safe Disadvantages: sounds like a tractor
...My grand parents got one of these about 3 years ago; they had just gone into retirement and wanted to get a practical but sporty looking 4x4.
**Comforts**
This model had:
- Electric windows
- ABS
- Remote central locking
- Power steering
- Cassette player (fm, am, radio)
- Sun roof
- Removable hard top
- Electric mirrors
- Leather seats

The seats were...

Advantages: Off Road, Easy to drive, ENGINE Disadvantages: Service, Interior is boring,.
...The Land Rover Freelander is one of Land Rovers most popular cars of the last few years, and its understandable for my experiences. It?s a 2005 ?55? plate facelifted Freelander. In black, which is without doubt one of the best colours- along with silver.
My dad owned the TD4 Adventurer, but I drove it everywhere. It has a 1951CC Diesel Engine, which was virtually the same as you get in the 2.0D BMWs. Its an excellent engine, it pulls well upto 70mph and beyond where its safe to do so and has plenty of torque, it also makes a nice fruity sound and is without doubt (having test drove the other engines on offer) the best engine available for the freelander.
The off road capability is tremendous, it just can go anywhere, we went down on the dessert (sandhills near where I live) and the car didn?t get stuck once all day, and when...
