...When I was little, I got a TCR racing set for Christmas. In those heady days, TCR stood for "Total Control Racing". Something like a Scalectrix, but without the slots, so the cars could change lanes.
In July of this year, I bought a new bike, a road-racing bike from the Chinese manufacturer "Giant". It too is called TCR, but this time round I've no idea what it stands for. What I do know is that, for the money, it's a fine piece of machinery and over the next virtual page or two, I'll tell you exactly why.

...Hi my name is Leon and I have had my Giant Alu lite for a year now and it is the best bike I have ever had. Ihave had £500 GT's and other top bikes but on my birthday I decided to get a cheaper bike for just going on bike rides it was the best bike for £200 and it does more than its job it is light stylish and greate value.This bike would suit anybody that just wants to ride and have its great for adults and children my Dad also brought the same bike after he whent on a bike ride....

To cut a long story short I ended up paying £450 for the bike (although we had to purchase a GiantSCR for my other half at the same time - although this was discounted too. However a significant saving was made and I love the fact that a lot of the road bike fraternity are so snobbish that they have to have a 'new' bike each year and the manufacturers change the models on an annual basis, even if it only means changing the colour scheme!!) and walking out of the shop with a big grin on my face.
