...in was baker street bike's on london road, i told the owner my predicament and he came up with a solution, he went round the back of the shop and got out loads of cycling equipment and then the nrs4 came out.
the bike was up at £750 and we did a deal for cash and i got it for £600 which left me with enough cash for the lycra shorts.
the rear suspension was designed by the renault formula one team, and is double wishbone that doesn't flex when you sit on the bike but gives upto 4.5 inches of rear travel when you hit large bumps hard. so this bike is ideal for the down hill heavy hitting where it gives you plenty of cushioning but when you get on the road it is nice and stiff so you don't waste energy pushing the bike up and down instead of forwards. best of both worlds!
on the down hill it was really good, sturdy yet flexible...

Advantages: Price, Components, Performance Disadvantages: Lack of "street-cred"
..."compact" road frame and finished in a kind of egg-shell black with the carbon fibre weave visible through the lacquer, it looks something akin to a stealth fighter. I was hooked. Unfortunately, the local bike-shop wouldn't match the on-line price from Wiggle, so Wiggle got my business. A £1,100 bike purchased for £770.
I've now been riding it for 4 months and have covered more than 600 miles, mostly along a training route that I follow on local roads. Over that time I've definitely become quicker and fitter. My average speed has increased from 14mph to 18.5mph and, according to my hear-rate monitor, for roughly the same level of exertion.
I believe that the bike has played a significant part in this improvement. It simply encourages you to go faster, rewarding every ounce of extra energy with increased speed. Confidence through corners...

...Hi my name is Leon and I have had my Giant Alu lite for a year now and it is the best bike I have ever had. Ihave had £500 GT's and other top bikes but on my birthday I decided to get a cheaper bike for just going on bike rides it was the best bike for £200 and it does more than its job it is light stylish and greate value.This bike would suit anybody that just wants to ride and have its great for adults and children my Dad also brought the same bike after he whent on a bike ride....
