Advantages: good looking and comfy Disadvantages: BSJA have banned their use
...An excellent review written by Armychic and she is quite right, these boots are lovelly, so comfy, and they look absolutely gorgeous when you are parading round the showground with your burger waiting for your next class!
BUT
yep, thee had to be one!
The BSJA (British Show Jumping Association) will not allow the use of this boot, nor the High Rider (next model down) in any of its competitions. The handout read that this was due to a safety aspect and although I do not know for sure what it is, rumours have it that it is something to do with the sole of the boot. Mountain horse have issued a statement to say that it is perfectly safe for everyday wear and "light" competition use but have not issued a product re-call etc so one would assume that this is the case.
The majority of people are less bothered about the boot itself being...

Advantages: Comfortable, long lasting, good price and fab to wear Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...I purchased my boots back in 2001 and have never looked back. They are comfortable, most important when you spend several hours a day in the saddle. They have lasted so far without looking like I have had them for 4 years. The price is great for the durability and practicality elements and they are so easy to maintain. My husband even wore them for a carriage dressage competition. A bit of polish and they look like brand new boots.
The style of the boots allows some movement in the foot but is supportive where necessary. Its great also for those of us who have large calf muscles with the elasticated back. They are aslo designed with a good toe fit in a stirrup irn.
I cannot praise these boots enough and suggest to all my friends to purchase a pair....

Advantages: Cheap, nice looking, warm and comfortable Disadvantages: not as comfortable, warm or water proof as a more expensive burton boot.
...Fantastic boot for a beginner, cheaper than a lot of the competition and still has many of the features that Burton offers on more expensive boots. I bought these as "my first boots" and rode them for a whole season. Aprox 100days riding with no problems what so ever. Would 100% reccomend them to anyone who wants cheap beginner - intermediate boots. I've since upgraded to a more expensive boot which is better but i really cant think of anything bad to say about the Moto in terms of value for money. Burton's "Imprint" boot liners are much more comfortable than the "Matrix" liners - the Burton Tribute (the very very cheap burton boot) is really quite uncomfortable after a long days riding and not that much cheaper.
If you're a beginner and looking for a cheap setup i would strongly advice investing in boots as they will make or break...

As Billy Connolly, the "Big Yin" says - The Scottish National Dress is - The Wellie!

The first ever time I saw one of these advertised in my local newspaper all those years ago I thought, “Why on earth would someone want to buy another persons car boot?” Obviously lots of people do, cos haven’t they just gone from strength to strength... more
