Giro Helmet Pod Features: Recommended for protecting your helmet from spills and knocks when it\'s tossed into the flight bag, or into the back of the pick-up en route to the races. Similar styling to Oakley Vault sunglass cases - very light, very stylish and very impact resistant. Wide, Lycra-net, integral strap restrains helmet and prevents it rocking about inside the pod.
...The Giro Atmos makes you look and feel great. The carbon fibre inserts make it very lightweight which makes it go un noticable so you don't feel as if you're riding round with a weight over your head. It uses a RocLoc system to give an adjustable perfect fit around the head. The Atmos has 26 vents which gives it great ventilation to keep your head cool on hot days, along with the coolmax paddings which can be taken out to be washed. It comes with a helmet pod so you can carry and transport your helmet safely. The Atmos is unbelievably light and extremely cool! It may be pricey but it is worth every penny! With this helmet on the market theres no excuses for not wearing one....

Advantages: Good looks with a good purpose Disadvantages: You do have to wear a big lump of plastic on your head.
...things that go inside to stop “head scratch!!” sweet just eats them alive and without them you’ll be in some proper pain if you continue to wear it properly (don’t what ever you do loosen the straps, it just hurts even more when you come off cos your head rattles inside the helmet!).
This is my helmet and if you read my reviews regular you can probably tell I’m working my way through my stuff head to toe slowly. I do have a Giro helmet but I’m not sure if I like it's fit – I got it for mountain biking but still end up wearing this old thing all the time.
Short and sweat review I think you’ll agree – reason: simply that if it’s a good helmet you shouldn’t have to say much, it keeps your head in good shape and is not ‘too’ uncomfortable as it does it....

Advantages: Lightweight & looks great ! Lance wears one ! Disadvantages: Expensive
...a "helmet pod", a kind of zip up black case to protect the helmet when not in use - there's a buckle up handle and also space for cycling gloves and glasses to keep everything safe and together - a rather good idea. These sell for £20 odd by themselves !
There's also a small orange ID sticker, for you to fill in all your details and stick on the inside of the helmet just in case, although whether any paramedic type person will take any notice, or even see it, is another thing. I've not bothered.
Buying a Giro hat avails you of the excellent Giro Crash Replacement Programme. Anyone with a Giro helmet up to three years old can replace it at a reduced price (-20% I think) if it has been involved in an accident. The replacement will always be the same model as the original or the nearest current equivalent if the original is no longer available...
