    There was a time when I would jump on my bike and not give a second thought to the need for a helmet. It always seemed like an irritant when I was younger that I was forced to wear. Of course as time has worn on my attitude to wearing a helmet for riding has changed considerably. Rather than being an item of protective equipment I am forced to wear, it is one of the first things I sort out before taking my bike out for a spin.     Advantages Advantages Stylish design, adjustable headband, air vents

    I will admit that I bought this helmet primarily because of how it looks. I purchased it just over a year ago, as the bike that I had been keeping in the garage hadn't had much use in a while and I wanted to dust it off for the autumn. As I wasn't going to be using the bike on a daily basis, I didn't want to invest in an extensive, uber-sporty helmet, and of the helmets in this price range the Giro was one of the most stylish and tied in with the colours of my bike frame.
