The Giro Monza helmet ranges in price from anywhere btween £50 and £70 at the time of this review. I paid £80 for mine a few months ago. I don't regret one penny of it as a helmet is invaluable, in my opinion, when cycling (my previous one ended up in 3 pieces when I landed headfirst on a roadside rock).
The Giro Monza is lightweight - even the size large for my big head comes in at only 310g - and extremely comfortable. Smaller sizes are obviously lighter still. The comfort is aided by the Roc-Loc system which allows you to place the helmet on your head and adjust the fit in situ, so no time consuming adjustments and readjustments are needed to individual straps. It also has 24 air vents to allow for ventilation and cooling, along with cool max pads inside which help to wick away sweat. These pads can be removed for washing if needs be. It is so comfortable, it is easy to forget it is there at times which obviously speaks for itself in terms of how good I think it is.
The Monza is sllek and stylish (as much as a helmet can be) and comes in a variety of colours so that it can be matched to your bike or your cycling clothing. Smaller sizes are obviously lighter still.
This helmet is also suitable for skateboarders and roller bladers/skaters.
Use your head. Get a helmet!
