Prov1x is the king of golf balls!
Review of Titleist Pro V1x by comedybegs

Advantages: Distance and spin are exceptional!
Disadvantages: a little bit pricey to lose!

...I used to use the Titleist Pro V1 before switching to this as it was awesome around the greens but i moved to the ProV1X because it is slightly harder, thus reducing the amount of spin on the ball and giving me around 10 yards more distance and by keeping my ball around 5 yards straighter. I hit the ball pretty hard and I think this is one of the reasons why the ProV1X suits my game. I also have a pretty tidy short game and I find that harder balls ...
...the amount of check spin I get with these. Even though it is aimed at the more advanced level the only reason I suggest it for the low hanicapper is because of its price which at £30+ a dozen becomes expensive to lose and only serious golfers or rich golfers can afford to lose that much every month! I mainly only use them for competitions so that I dont lose any when I am knocking the ball around in my friendly fourball! Although I recommend that ... Read review

Cheeter Line Ball
Review of Titleist NXT Tour Golf Balls by sacoyote

Advantages: More ball for less
Disadvantages: Durabillity

Titleist makes the best golf balls, and has proven them selfs on the pro tour for many years. This is a Titleist budget ball with almost the same performance and feel as the more expensive brother the Pro V1. The Cheeter line is very helpfull, for somone that struggles to line up his putts and can even be used to line up the driver giving you better acurisy ultimitly saving you shots on a round. Launches good from the club face and has good controll ... Read review

SOLO PTS GOLF BALLS (YELLOW)
Review of Titleist PTS SoLo (Yellow) Golf Balls by silkyuk9

Advantages: Very forgiving, keeps straight
Disadvantages: none

...yellow golf balls, but this Titleist wasn't too dazzling like other brands. i found i was off the tee straighter and slightly longer too, i used the same golf ball for 18 holes and the ball still had plent og life left. i would reccomend PTS to a higher handicapper like myself, you will find straighter drives and more distance from the tee. ... There's something lovely about golf balls.
Review of Titleist Pinnacle Gold (Box of 15) Golf Balls by ps2gamer890

Advantages: Good feel, Shiny, bounces well, good value for money
Disadvantages: Being a golf ball - none really...

Golf, the sport traditionally favoured by Upper Class toffs, overweight American businessmen and any other Industrial Fat Cat who comes my way, is a strict pompous sport, with strict, pompous rules. Jeremy Clarkson's view of golfers: "A misogynist who cares more about his trousers than his wife" And it's not just the married or old ones either. Show ME a Junior Golfer, as they most likely call them, and I'll show you a pansy with neatly combed ...
...I came across one just today ,in fact, pulled out a Golf ball, and asked him, in my jovial "old wag" sort of tone: "Is this ball an expensive one?" He took a quick, dismissive sort of look and replied: "Oh no, that's a rubbish cheap one. The best golf ball is a Maxfli M3Z4' (or something of that nature). It's a sad, sad world when our golf balls, simple contraptions made of plastic, rubber, and miles and miles of that stringy latex stuff have to ... Read review

Expensive Spin
Review of Titleist Pro V1X (2005) Golf Balls by CarlG

Advantages: The Best Ball Out There
Disadvantages: Price

Titleist launched the Pro V1x a few years ago amongst much hype, so much so that initially they were very hard to get hold of, that is not the case nowadays as they can be easily purchased at any local Pro Shop or major golfing outlet. Not long after came the Pro V1x a ball that spun a little less and was meant to go that little bit further again. For a few seasons I used the Pro V1x but have only just got round to writing the review (for the record ...
...The like, all the top performing golf balls (including the Maxfli Revolution which I have just reviewed), is a three piece construction with a solid core, a softer outer layer and a thin, soft shell. This type of construction has replaced the more traditional balata ball construction as it outperform in terms of distance, spin and durability, the latter of which is most important to me as I don't want one thin to result in the ball being ruined, ...
