A set to suit everyone's game.....
Advantages: Perfect for mid-to-high handicappers Disadvantages: Looks
...I purchased a set of Mizuno MX-17 (steel) irons in April 2005 for £349, replacing my ageing Progen's that had never really done me justice. At first I thought that the Mizunos were slightly expensive, however after my first practice I could see why Mizuno had such a good reputation as iron-makers and so believed that the price was adequate. There was also the possibility of alternatively buying graphite shafts for £469 but I have always thought steel ... ...The long irons (3-6) feature a huge cavity pocket and low centre of gravity which provides a solid contact all over the club head, so making them extremely forgiving on mishits. With my Progens the long irons were always very hard to hit and there was never room for misjudegement. But with the Mizuno's, if you are slightly off the sweet spot the ball still goes straight. The short irons (7-PW) are of a more solid construction with weight higher up ...

Mizuno MX-23 Great improvment irons
Advantages: Great for impovment, good forgiving face. Disadvantages: Hevier than graphite shafted clubs.
Mizuno MX-23 irons. Steel shafted (like all the pros use now) and a great impovement club.
I got a set of these for christmas, I had a handicap of 28. Now after using these clubs for less than half a year my handicap has dramaticly changed by 10 i now play off 18.
At first they took a big of getting used to compared to my old irons but soon the face hardened up and they went super! In winter weather they hold there own against cold and wet. As ... ...because they are quite forgiving and have a large sweet spot on the face. The first thing i noticed when I bought them was the grips. Very nice grips that make it easy to line up the ball to the club face. Another great thing obout these clubs is that they were a real bargin. I got mine from my pro shop brand new, im glad i did. ...

Did my getting off the tee improve with the Callaway FT-IQ
Advantages: gain extra yardage from tee, easy to hit off the deck, looks good Disadvantages: pricey and sound puts people off
Yes it did , i was in the pro shop about six months ago and the pro was telling me about one of the square drivers that i had been wanting to try, god is that the price of it i said, but he talked me into taking it out for a trial, it took me a few holes to get used to the address of the club head but when i started outdriving my playing partners i was hooked, But the price was the main thing putting me off, so i tryed out a number of similar clubs ...

Great golf clubs at good price but dangerous ...
Advantages: Real good price Disadvantages: Dangerous defect with head detaching from shaft
Hi all, My comment would have been exactly the same as the one by 'beanie8844' till several days ago. But today I've to come up with one important negative point which is I have one of my clubs (P-wedge) turned into 2 pieces after about one month of use on pratice only. More precisely, the club 's head is detached from its shaft & luckily not during a strike. I must also say I've never hit whatsoever 'floor' w/ this club. Above all, what bothers ...

Solid Set of Nike Slingshots here
Advantages: Control, Distance/Power, Durable, Good Looking Disadvantages: not much...
To be as straight forward as possible, I think that these clubs are great. They have are very easy to use, and produce great results. I could tell only a few days after I got them from a friend that these were the real deal. They easily added distance and accuracy to my game, and for that alone I was satisfied. On the negative side, I cannot really find any gaping disadvantages to these clubs. I was completely satisfied with them, as they served ... ...and used. These irons obviously aren't going to be your top end pro irons, but for the casual golfer or for someone who gets out a handful amount of times in a month, like myself, these are perfect. Great value for a wonderful set of clubs that will last me quite some time. ...
