Callaway Big bertha irons
Review of Callaway Mens Big Bertha Pro Series X-12 Irons by coolerking918

Advantages: Very Very forgiving/ideal for an improving player
Disadvantages: None to speak of,maybe the lack of a 3 iron

Why I Bought them I picked these clubs up recently at a pro shop, they had just been traded in and in excellent condition. I have just returned to the game after a 10 year absence and decided that a quality club would get me back on track. I play at around the 95 to 100 mark so I really am a less than average golfer so i can only comment on what feels good to me as a novice. First Go with them I took them along to my lesson and the instructor ...
...miles" was the quote. He was spot on I couldn't believe the improvement, I have always struggled to hit long irons...... not anymore. The grips were lovely and the markings on them really helped me to get you set up . The first few strikes of the ball were a bit nervy then I found myself swinging easy and really catching the ball sweet. I went from around the 130/35 yard mark with the 7 iron to well over the 150 and maybe pushing 160 in a half hour ... Read review

Callaway great Big Bertha 2
Review of Callaway Great Big Bertha II by silkyuk9

Advantages: Cured my slice, long and straight
Disadvantages: none

I had a Big Bertha until few months ago, i was 28 handicap when i purchased mine. I felt very comfortable and confident when i hit mine, previously i had another brand of driver and had a slice which went left (i'm a left hander). So i tried a Big Bertha 2, my slice soon went, and i found i had much more distance and my confidence grew, last year i cut 6 strokes from my handicap, and i do believe the Great Big Bertha helped me. There are lots of ... Read review

Very good irons, but rather expensive
Review of Callaway Fusion Irons by alimason

Advantages: achieve good distances, more feel to your shots
Disadvantages: expensive, not a huge difference to cheaper callaways

i recently upgraded my irons my VFTs to the fusions and i was impressed by the difference. I seem to be able to hit the ball further with my new irons and unlike my old irons there are no cavities in these clubs, which i think inproves the 'feel' of the shot and the distance. With this set i also got a gap, lob, sand and pitching wedge, all of which are useful for around the greens. However i feel as though the longer irons such as 3,4,5 show the ...
...feel like clubs, but are more like an extension of your arms and one has far more control over the club. However the clubs are rather expensive and i only acquired them because they were a gift. Otherwise i think i would not have purchased them as my improvement in golf is not worth nearly £1000 ... Read review

Want To Hit The Ball Like Tiger Woods
Review of Callaway Mens Big Bertha ERC II Titanium Drivers by the_mad_cabbie

Advantages: Hits the golf ball both longer and straighter
Disadvantages: There is a question about its legality.

~ ~ The Callaway ERC driver is the latest offering from the renowned golf club manufacturers Callaway, whose equipment is the choice of so many of today’s top professionals, and hence much sought after and purchased by the sport’s millions of amateurs. This club is, in fact, in the second stage of its development, the original ERC 1 recently being superseded by Callaway’s latest model, the ERC 2. ~ ~ Before I get into describing ...
...This has been achieved by Callaway using computer-aided design, and revolutionary new methods of manufacturing the clubhead, using a very thin titanium alloy. The result of this is that the golf ball leaves the clubhead at a higher velocity than with other drivers, and a slight “positive draw” bias has been built in to ensure that the ball will also fly straighter most of the time, even with hits that are less than perfect. ~ ~ The ... Long, straight, but you pay the price for it
Review of Callaway FT-Hybrids by alimason

Advantages: good distance, easy to hit straight
Disadvantages: expensive

I was given 2 hybrids: a 2 and 4 and so far they have been a very good addition to my golf bag. They allow me to play long shots on surfaces which would not favour the use of my regular woods, i.e. longer fairways, rough and slopes. I have been impressed by the distance i have been able to achieve with these clubs too. I can easily hit 250 with the 2 and i asure you i am not a pro. I feel that these clubs are also easier to hit straight, because ...
...plane and this results in abetter end product. Howver the one negative aspect is the cost and if i had to purchase the clubs myself i would think again. This is especially prevalent for people who already have a 9 or 7 wood as i have both and i think the difference between these and the hybrids doesn't justify shelling out hundreds of pounds. ...
