Cobra 440 SZ - Forgiving, Accurate and Long! Advantages: Large Clubhead, Huge "Sweet Zone", Very Forgiving, Long Disadvantages: Make sure you don't buy the "unlimited" version ...clubhead and great design. Cobra have forged a name for themselves in the driver and fairway woods market in recent times and are widely renowned as a great club for length and forgivness: the 440 SZ is no exception. Although it is not the most recent in the Cobra series having being overtaken by newer models such as the "Speed" drivers and the new LD models, the 440 SZ is still a fantastic club and well worth a look at a much lower price than the ... ...£100 and can be found for around £60/£70 on eBay having originally retailed at £249. Without a doubt the most outstanding feature of this club is the extra accuracy that it gives players. Named the SZ due to its huge "Sweet Zone" the club is appropriately named as the margin for error on off-centre hits is exceptional and the length of drive is unaffected by this. The 9 spotted sweet zoned beauty Advantages: It's mine! Disadvantages: finding my ball - down the middle of the fairway! I am a 9 handicapper and play at a local club. When i was looking for a new driver everyone seemed to be recommending cobra. I was not sure why so i went ot my local pro to try the sz 400 out. Well I know why it was being so hgihly rated. The 9 sweet spots mean that you can't not hit it well, it comes of the Milled Titanium Rhombus Oval Face Insert extremely hot and it has cured my slice problem which has often stopped me from winning tournaments. ... ...in 8, 9, 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degree formats offering the best suited launch angle for you. Also the stiff shaft that i purchased with the club suits my fast wing down to a tee! However the regular shaft is recommened for most people. The new dual 304T steel weighting systems pin points the centre of gravity allowing your swing to work just like the pro's however unorthodox your swing maybe! Cobra SZ Fairway Woods - Inspires confidence! Advantages: Large "Sweet Zone", Accurate and Long. Disadvantages: Superceded by the LD and Speed models. ...3-wood and 5-wood in the Cobra SZ "Hyper Steel" Fairway Woods series for approximately 8/9 months and I have to say that I am very impressed with their performance. Previously I had not being a confident player with the fairway woods and had struggled for both confidence and consistancy. However, since changing to these clubs I have a new found confidence in my longer clubs and I believe that much of this is due to the amazing contrast between these ... ...a major affect on me. Cobra advertise this "larger profile" as giving players "longer, more accurate shots" and I cannot argue with that from my experience. Cobra has all the bite Advantages: Huge sweet spot, accurate Disadvantages: Grips ...right-to-left draw. Now with the Cobra i am hitting my drives some 20-30 yards longer and more accurate. Even mis-hits are going far, far away. One slight disadvantage I had with the Cobra is the basic level of grip, which I plan to replace in the spring time. But other than that I found the Cobra faultless. In summary, this is the must have driver for those serious about their game but hang their drives out to the right, this will get your drives ... Be a real man!!! Advantages: Distance and accuracy! Disadvantages: Nothing! ...was one of the old Cobra drivers from 2005 but the technology in it was more like 2008. A great driver for all. This driver usually has a offset face (to counter act the slice) and about 12 degrees loft. That may seem alot but according to a golf magazine men should be using at least 11.5! This proves that just because you have a low loft doesnt mean you hit it further. Also the offset promets a slight draw which also adds yards to drives.
