Ideal Golf Clubs

Advantages: Cheap, easy to use and well made
Disadvantages: Not suited to all golfers. Not for the experts!

...to pick my set of Hippo Irons up for a grand total of $79 at Edwin Watts Golf Store in Orlando on my recent trip to Florida (www.edwinwatts.com) and I think it is the best £50 I have ever spent. Yes. £50. This is a £200 set of golf clubs so if you have a credit card, you could ship them over. The men in the shop were more than helpful and would probably oblige if you contact them directly. Anyway, you know they are cheap. How do they play? Well, ...
...pick up a set of Hippo Cavity backed irons such as the Plus Pro set I am reviewing, you will see the metal is thicker in certain places. This is to weight it correctly for playing your shots cleaner. For those that don?t know, the clubs can vary in angle and length to achieve different results and distances . The longest club and least angled face club is a 2 Iron and the shortest and most angled (lofted) club is a Sand Wedge. The clubs in between ...

Hippo UC500 Golf Clubs

Advantages: Easy to use, great sweet spot
Disadvantages: My playing partners call me Hippo

...a great feel and inspire confidence at address. I've couple the clubs with Hippo Impact 10.5 driver and a lofty five wood. Being a 27, the above points are important. I've found that having full confidence in my clubs has improved my game allready and will continue to do so. ...

Groove That Swing

Advantages: Good quality. Easy to hit. Inexpensive.
Disadvantages: Not a lot!

...was a full set of Hippo I.Q. (ladies) Hippo are an American golf club manufacturing company that first sprung into prominence when they signed up the big hitting American professional, John Daly, shortly after he won his first major championship (the USPGA) so spectacularly back in the early 1990’s. They would be better known to most golfers for their range of drivers, but they also manufacturer various sets of irons. The Hippo I.Q. range ...
...none the less a good club, and excellent value for money. ~ ~ The heads of the I.Q. irons are made from pre-moulded casts, (as distinct from the more expensive forged process) and finished in stainless steel. They are cavity backed, which means that they are easier to hit for the average player, having a bigger sweet spot than blade irons. (The sweet spot is the area of the clubface that will give you a relatively straight shot when you hit the ball, ...

Great golf clubs at good price but dangerous ...

Advantages: Real good price
Disadvantages: Dangerous defect with head detaching from shaft

Hi all, My comment would have been exactly the same as the one by 'beanie8844' till several days ago. But today I've to come up with one important negative point which is I have one of my clubs (P-wedge) turned into 2 pieces after about one month of use on pratice only. More precisely, the club 's head is detached from its shaft & luckily not during a strike. I must also say I've never hit whatsoever 'floor' w/ this club. Above all, what bothers ...
