Old Father Time Takes His Toll Advantages: Straighter shots. Sweeter hit. Quality manufacturer. Ping G5 irons Advantages: Custom fit, Disadvantages: none ...which iron to get. ping irons are one of the best irons any golfer can buy, not only do ping custom fot you out that also provide you with the iron which is best for you. Go into any golf shop and you can buy a number of makes straight off the shelf, but what if you are 6 foot 5, or 5 foot 6? all the irons on the shelf are the same size and have the same degree of lie on the floor. Ping irons have 10 different degree of lie ranging from: gold to ... ...any pro shop. Also Ping fit you out with the shaft which is suitable for you and the correct thickness in grip. You can get all this done at your local Ping stockist, or on the Ping UK website, however I would not recommend that as I was advised on the 'gold dot' online but at my ping fitting I was told green dot was the correct one for me. Long and Forgiving Advantages: Look great and give great confidence Disadvantages: A bit pricey perhaps? ...until I invested in these Ping irons. They are beautiful golf clubs, both to look at and strike the ball with. They are accurate, or as accurate as I can be, hit the ball a good distance and best of all they're forgiving. I don't need to hit that 3 Iron just right in order to hit it 200 yards, I know even a mishit won't be a disaster. That gives me real confidence.
