Nike forged blades - The best blades about!!
Review of Nike Forged Blades by alexhoward89

Advantages: Great feel and very impressive design
Disadvantages: Havent found any yet! but might not suit the higher handicap players

I bought the nike forged blades in 2006 and am still very impressed with every aspect of them! In terms of performance, they are a relatively small blade but all this does is focus more power into the sweetspot in the centre of the clubface and when struck cleanly gives a soft, powerful feeling and a great result! In terms of asthetics, they are a very sleek yet simple design and are finished off with a very stylish nike tick on the back of each ...
...player, i would reccommend this blade to lower handicap players as higher handicap players may struggle to strike the ball consistently enough to get the best out of them. If however you are a confident low handicap golfer then you will be thrilled with the performance of these irons and the feel of the ball off the club! I have had them for over 2 years now and do not intend to change irons for a very long time! ... Read review

Nike Slingshot
Review of Nike Golf Slingshot Iron by silkyuk9

Advantages: Great for all ages and handicaps
Disadvantages: don't get a sand iron

...had Macgregor DX and the Nike were a very good buy. My son's handicap came down 4 shots within a month and he does hit these irons straight and long, there is so much confidence in each iron, right down to the 3. I don't have my 3 or 4 iron in my bag but my son who is 16 really does hit them well. The only downfall is that there isn't a sand iron in the set, and it would have made better sense to add a sand and taken away the 3, as most people don't ...
...to high handicapper give them a try at your local pro shop, you won't be dissapointed. Lovely irons and very well made. My son's are nearly a year old now and still shiney and no marks or bits of rust showing. Nike certainly know how to make golf clubs. ... Read review

Nike NDS Irons
Review of Nike Golf NDS Iron by aj4luton

Advantages: Great feel and creativity
Disadvantages: American so include no SW

...the NDS stands for the Nike Distance Serires. So reading that you may think that you lose control if you use the set. That is definately not true as progressive offsetting technique throughout the set allows for perfect ball shaping. The wide sole of the club allows for excellent connection with the club and compared to the modern club these are relatively heavily. I found this extremely helpful as it stopped me hitting semi-fatted shots and topping ...
...stainless steel which is 25% softer than the average 17.1. This allows for a greater feel and greater power. Also a key feature is the shaft and its progress decline down into the club allowing for jerked movements to be displaced. Oh yeh and the mirror in the back of the club allows all us handsome men and women to look the part as well as play the part. Yours in pure ball striking! ... Read review

Good improving irons
Review of Nike Golf Pro Combo Iron by youngas75

Advantages: Trusted brand, forgiving
Disadvantages: Heavy, akward to keep clean

...in my choosing of the Nike were the price, they were a lot cheaper then the Taylor Mades and looked more durable than the MacGregor. I was able to try out a 6 iron at my local range and instantly the difference was obvious. Maybe it's to do with the advances in club technology but they just gave a sweeter shot than my Great White's did. I was able to get the ball up higher straight away and it would drop pretty much where I wanted it to. I went ...
...as I have a very quick swing. I'm no expert on this so I took their advice and I'm happy with the way the clubs work. They are forgiving enough so that if you catch it off centre the ball will still go where you intended but when you catch it right you know you have. There is a little ping, which some golfers find off-putting, and you don't feel the ball at all, it just launches! On the downside they are alittle heavy. This comes with the size of ... Read review

Vokey design wedges!
Review of Titleist Vokey 258.08 by alexhoward89

Advantages: great feel, control and durability
Disadvantages: none!

I own two of the Vokey design wedges; 52 and 58 degrees. I have had them for a couple of years now, which on its own shows the good durability of the club as i play a lot of golf and the grooves are still generating good spin. the main advantages of them are that they have quite a lot of weight, which is concentrated into the head of the club, which increases the feel of the club, and also allows for far greater control as you really can let the ...
...design of the wedge, and the colour of the metal, but through time this changes, especially with the sand wedge, into a more worn look, which i actually find quite a good look! overall i would definitely reccomend these wedges over any other, and are suitable for all abilities. ... Read review
