975 Driver

Advantages: great to use
Disadvantages: bit pricy

The 975D is the sort of driver that everyone should have as it makes the most impressive sound on impact of any driver I have ever heard. Apart from that though, how does it fair against other Drivers on the market - such as the Callaway ERCII or the Taylor Made 300 series? Actually it does remarkably well. I use the 8 degree Driver and find that the ball flight is very good and am now hitting the ball straighter than I ever had. The distance off ...
...shape shots is good as it can sometimes be hard to do this with a driver but easy with this club. I work in a pro shop so know a lot about this sort of thing - take my word for it this is a great club (bit pricy though!) ...

The best driver i have ever owned

Advantages: Lower ball flight and increased workablilty
Disadvantages: None

This golf club is designed for golfers who hit the ball to high, because they impart too much backspin onto a golf ball. The 905s has a deep face to reduce spin rates therefore hitting the ball on a lower ball flight, increasing distance. The head is also slightly smaller so is much easier on the eye than some of these brand irons we see today. I use a 905s fitted with a grafalloy blue stiff shaft and it is now my favourite club in the ball. I ...
...find the fairway. The ball goes a long way off the tee too, because of the lowered ball flight my golf ball is leaving the face at the optimum launch angle (45 degrees) and the because of the low spin rate hits the floor and gains another 20-30 yards in roll! The best driver I have ever owned! ...

Sooooooooooooo long! 983E & 983K Drivers

Advantages: Very long hitting club.Powerful penetrating ball flight.983E
Disadvantages: 983E not as forgiving as 983K

...than my previous driver a Titleist 975J. Perhaps by an average of 15 yards. The ball flight is a low rainbow shape. The club sets up to the ball very easily but does require a high tee peg. I find that setting the ball up further forward i.e almost off your toe increases length and promotes accuracy. I was sceptical of the Graffalloy shaft as I am not a fan of light shafts. This doubt was eventually proven correct, (I gave it 7 months). I like ...
...16st) and I found that any attempt to really "nail" the ball hard was penalised with a fair drop in accuracy. Eventually cured this by fitting an EI70 shaft,no loss of length due to heavier shaft possibly a bit longer on average due to increased accuracy. 983K My son (Age 13 H'cap 6) was looking foer a new driver at the same time as me but went for a Taylor made 580. Eventually fell out with this as it was too inconsistentr for him. He traded this ...

Did my getting off the tee improve with the Callaway FT-IQ

Advantages: gain extra yardage from tee, easy to hit off the deck, looks good
Disadvantages: pricey and sound puts people off

Yes it did , i was in the pro shop about six months ago and the pro was telling me about one of the square drivers that i had been wanting to try, god is that the price of it i said, but he talked me into taking it out for a trial, it took me a few holes to get used to the address of the club head but when i started outdriving my playing partners i was hooked, But the price was the main thing putting me off, so i tryed out a number of similar clubs ...

Great golf clubs at good price but dangerous ...

Advantages: Real good price
Disadvantages: Dangerous defect with head detaching from shaft

Hi all, My comment would have been exactly the same as the one by 'beanie8844' till several days ago. But today I've to come up with one important negative point which is I have one of my clubs (P-wedge) turned into 2 pieces after about one month of use on pratice only. More precisely, the club 's head is detached from its shaft & luckily not during a strike. I must also say I've never hit whatsoever 'floor' w/ this club. Above all, what bothers ...
