...Many players overlook the importance of grips on their golf clubs. Although the thickness of the grip can be tailored from any brand, the quality of the grip varies imensely. The Softie Cord has all the advantages of a cord grip, such as long being lasting yet with a 'soft' feel. For those players who usually go for a regular cord grip, the 'softie' version is a good step up and can be used in all weathers, unlike some cheaper versions. The feel is good and the price is competitive. I would recommend that players change their grips regularly, and for those who appreciate quality, the "Golf Pride Players Softie Cord" could be perfect. Always try before buying, but regripping my entire golf clubs with these grips (I play off 7) has made me feel more confident and improved my scores. ...I won a dozen off these Callaway HX Tour black balls in a competition and am in love !! I have always played with Titleist Pro V1's in the past and didn't think anything would be able to beat them. These Callaways balls go an absolute mile when spanked off the tee with your driver. I would say slightly further than the pro v1. They also have excellent spin control when struck with your short irons into the greens. I have never had so much backspin with a ball before. I find them very nice to putt with as well , a real soft feel coming off the putter face. The only real draw back with these is the price. I believe they are currently retailing for around £36 a dozen but i believe them to be worth it , especially in the summer. I have found them to have knocked around 2-3 shots off of my game per round , i play off a 12 handicap... Read review

...Having taken up golf in the last year i've lost (and found) alot of golf balls on the local fairways as you might expect, most of these balls are then hit and lost again for someone else to find and so the cycle continues. That was at least until i slowly showed signs of improvement and treated myself to a sleeve (pack of 3) of Titleist NXT tour golf balls from my local pro shop for £4.99, i must admit i wasnt keen to part with almost a fiver for 3 golf balls but you know the way it is... better equipment will make me a better player right? well funnily enough it may have helped a little. So what is so special about the NXT tour series of ball?
