Advantages: Large Clubhead, Huge "Sweet Zone", Very Forgiving, Long Disadvantages: Make sure you don't buy the "unlimited" version
...of this club is the extra accuracy that it gives players. Named the SZ due to its huge "Sweet Zone" the club is appropriately named as the margin for error on off-centre hits is exceptional and the length of drive is unaffected by this. A very forgiving club indeed.
The standard shaft that comes with the 440 SZ is a Cobra/Graphite Design YS-5.1 and I got along very well with the regular stiffness and it was only improvement of my game that caused me to upgrade to an Aldila NV 65 with stiff shaft which has been a remarkable improvement to my kit!
The grip that the standard club comes equipped with is a very respectable GolfPrideTourVelvet 50D which I have had no complaints with. It is durable and good even in adverse weather conditions.
The club conforms with the new R&A ruling for 2008 regarding club head size but be aware when purchasing...

Advantages: Good in all weathers Disadvantages: None of such
...Many players overlook the importance of grips on their golf clubs. Although the thickness of the grip can be tailored from any brand, the quality of the grip varies imensely. Advantages: Large "Sweet Zone", Accurate and Long. Disadvantages: Superceded by the LD and Speed models.

Their clubs are generally forgiving and long and this SZ range (Sweet Zone) is more of the same. However, these clubs are no longer the most recent on the market having being released a couple of years ago now. Even though they have been replaced by new lines of clubs they remain as a great, modern example of golf technology and the fact that they have been superseded by newer models only serves to lower their price!! The clubs are now available for £60/£70 from golf stores and even less on eBay having previously had an RRP of over £100.
As well as looking good behind the ball the SZ fairway woods have a great level of technology on their side too. As standard they are fitted with a high-spec Cobra/Aldila shaft, a Cobra TourVelvet grip...
