...Mosiguard is a midge / insect repellent, the one i bought is made from all natural ingredients, I thought this would be a benefit as its nice to know what you are applying to your skin hasn't been made in a chemists dream. Quite simply this stuff is useless - however i shall go into more detail I normally use Jungle formula extra strenght as bugs of all shapes and size see me as an all you can eat buffet and it normally does the job, I go camping in the Highlands and Sutherland in Scotland a few times a year, so i am used to the clouds of bugs. I bought this as i could not get any jungle formula, thinking they would both be the same. I was very wrong. ...are not concerned with the cosmetics side, though it does look nice, but the health of the hoof. Diet. * * * * Healthy hooves come from within. It is the same with a healthy and shiney coat. A horses diet is very important. When a horse has bad hooves, it could be from months previous, when their diet has been deficient. It will take a while for the healthy hoof to grow down. My horse is fit and healthy and I don`t feed her specific supplements any more for hooves, though I used to, until they improved. Biotin is commonly used to improve hoof strength and quality. I used to feed this but it worked out about £9 a month so when the quality improved, I stopped. Farriers Formula is another one which is highly recommended. This is considerably more expensve. Advantages: attrractive to fish, sometimes smells yummy to me too, texture can be altered easily with the addition of different amounts of water.
Disadvantages: sometimes the 1kg bag doesn't last too long.
