The purple and white bottle of magic comes in the following quantities: 125ml Sponge-on for about £4 125ml Spray-on costing around £5 1.0litre Sponge-on which is £12 Simple to use, after cleaning your footwear (preferably with Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel) and whilst still damp just shake the bottle, break the seal and then apply generously all over; allow about 2 minutes for it to soak in and then remove and surplus with a cloth allowing the shoes to dry our before you next use them. Advantages: very comfortable, all day 3-4 season boot, all terrain, fully laden
Disadvantages: initial outlay is large but they will last for years. no half sizes

The men’s are available in black and graphite and the women’s are in graphite or midnight blue (mine are blue hence the title, my partners are black) The boots are a combination of materials: • The uppers are water-resistant Nubuck leather (Suede) and Cordura 1100; the Nubuck leather gives a high degree of comfort as it is not as rigid when new as shiny traditional leather and the Cordura increases durability • The lining is Gore-Tex Sierra; this liner prevents water entering yet allows moisture [such as sweat) to escape keeping feet dry and comfortable. The floating tongue is also made of Gore-Tex combined with memory foam to improve water tightness, breathability, fit and comfort • The Insole is graded nylon which provides a good level of rigidity and enables crampons with a B1 rating to be strapped on for winter walking... Advantages: Better than soap & Water

...I feel like I am always having to clean shoes and boots, be it my own shoes or my partners work boots, even my son's Wellingtons, I swear I never stop. Thankfully Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel is a fantastic sponge on revitalising cleaner for all types of footwear; it will work on all combinations of any fabric and is even suitable for breathable fabrics such as Gore-Tex, SympaTex and eVENT. This means I can clean all our shoes with just the one product, from walking boots to trainers and everything in between. The bonus to it being “sponge on” is that the head of the cleaning bottle has a spongy/scrubby material stuck onto it so you can use this to work away any stubborn dirt. This particular Nikwax product comes in a white bottle with a green lid, and is only available in one size which is 125ml which costs around £3... Read review
