In my experience of Gray-Nicholls bats there has been a mixed bag, Gray Nicholls rate all their bats with stars and the rating is from one to 5 (5 being the best) now I have used a 3 star bat right up to the 5 star ones and i'll tell you now that if you want to be the batsman of the season and hit 100's of runs then the bat to get is a Gray-Nicholls with a 5 star rating. Many top international and county players use them and they perform time and time again. Most of their bats are made in England with premium english willow anyway which automatically makes them a cut above the rest. The bat is the trademark bat of Michael Atherton remade and is perfect for guiding the ball around the ground for 4's and can also be used by the more attacking batsman to hit that ball for six. The bat is on the heavier end of the scale although it feels reassuring in your hands. It is also a great looking bat that demands respect when you walk onto the field. It is very durable and will last many seasons with an attractive price for lesser versions starting from around £75. Tis bat combines both precision with power and does it seamlessly, an excellant bat for people of any age but particularly recommended to younger higher level or county players because of the price.
