Advantages: Great name in golf balls Disadvantages: Not really for high handicappers
...I'm not really into the science of golf balls, all I know is that there are good balls and not so good balls. I wouldn't play with golf balls that cost 20p per ball such as Donnay because they don't feel nice to hit and yes on the golf course you just don't use Donnay to play low rounds and in tourneys.
I tried a titleist Pro V1X today in a Stableford tourney off white tees so I had a little extra yardage to play, I mostly use Titleist PTS Solo because they are designed for mid to high handicappers, and I can hit them, so they work for me. Titleist have brought out this new breed of ball, and as i said I don't know the science so i'm not going to say there is this and there is that, etc. All i know is that these balls are designed to cut out spin, have a lower flight and create more distance, however, I never saw any of that. To me...

Advantages: Relativley Cheap, 6mm latex Disadvantages: Useless in wet weather
...overall an average pair of keeper gloves from a usually top notch company.
I have had uhlsport gloves in the past which have been excellent as well as having a reasonable life span. When i saw the pro special i thought I'd give them a try. I purchased them in black, white and orange although i think they are available in other colour schemes. They have the usual 6mm soft latex palms and 3D backhand technology which apparantly flexes with your hand.
Unlike other keepers gloves that contain finger support or anatomically moulded in the shape of your hands, this glove has nothing. They are very flat and plain.
The gloves were ok until the palms began to age, these were brought back to life with a quick hand wash. After a while though general wear and tear crept in and the gloves were past rescuing. The grip in the palm began...

I thought for a change I would try my hand at reviewing a book, so here goes.

Historical fiction is a favourite guilty pleasure of mine, and I came to this book with no pre-conceptions; in fact, I actually expected, and wanted, to like it. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed.
I get that this is historical _fiction_, and... more
