try to avoid this gym at all costs
Advantages: cheap drinks in the hilton and free breakfast Disadvantages: very dirty, out dated, poor management, poor class schedule
I have been a member of livingwell for approx 9 month now and I can't wait for my membership to expire so I can go to greens or virgin its that bad.
Where to start??????
Well The whole gym is very very dirty. The carpets have deep sweat and damp marks and the carpet leading to the gym area is very worn like most things in the place.
The equipment rarely gets cleaned and is old, dated and some rusty.
The towels provided for members are usually ... ...to clean the sinks in the toilets and use them (attached to a sweeping brush) to clean the sweaty floors in the studios and as sweat towels in the spinning classes. I have seen this happen frequently. The male changing rooms are filthy, the toilet walls are always dirty and the bottom of the doors are rotted. The ceilings are dirty and in the shower area they are falling in due to damp and rot. The tiles on the floor have ingrained dirt some cracked ...

A great club!
Advantages: Fab facilities and great staff Disadvantages: May be slightly out of the average persons budget
A great gym!
Yes it may seem a bit pricy but you pay for the great facilities, i have found that the gym is always clean and fresh and lovely and cold which is great when you've just spent 30 minutes on a cross trainer!, there is a great sized pool, with kids pool and spa, the changing rooms are always clean with complimentary products also another thing i like is nearly every time i visit i see a cleaner in the changing rooms, shower or toilet ... ...they are very willing to try and resolve any problems you may have and if they cannot they always pass the problem onto a manager, also they have a great childrens department, with an excellent creche and fab childrens timetable!
Would recommend this one to anyone interested in joining a premium health club! ...

Do you put your fitness first.
Advantages: Cheap, lots of different activities, and venues Disadvantages: sometimes busy.
...i have never been to fitness first i cannot comment on how they operate but as a fitness unlimited customer i can say the following.
Fitness Unlimited (Sheffield): Firstly I am the kind of person who has never done any exercise in my (adult) life. So the fact that I decided to join 'Fitness Unlimited' came as quite a shock to my closest friends and family. Fitness Unlimited is a way of joining four fitness centres in Sheffield: Ponds Forge, Hillsborough ... ...belonging to four centres may seem a little strange but in fact gives you the best of all worlds. As Ponds Forge is often used for national and international events, it allows you to use a different centre when their facilities are unavailable. It also means that they can provide a much wider range of activities throughout the consortium. Having so far only tried out the Ponds Forge sports centre, I can only talk about their facilities but I have ...

a disgrace
Advantages: its cheep Disadvantages: staff are unhelpful, violent and abusive. the management don't care
in my opinion you should never go anyware near this gym. the facilities suck and the staff are very abusive and unhelpful. i seen a disabled person being attacked and no one helped him. member of staff who hit the disabled man still works there. in my opinion, the staff are violent and the managemet just turn a blind eye to this.
i found the gym very dirty and unhygenic, there was mould growng on the tiles in the shower area and outside the sauna.

OUGHT TO HAVE A WEALTH WARNING
Advantages: Good tennis Disadvantages: Personally witnessing a long-standing member being refused entry.
OUGHT TO HAVE A WEALTH WARNING: The club appears to tie the members into very long contracts (currently, I believe 12 months notice) and this year when my membership was due for renewal the club did not adhere to their own contract with regards to price increases, 14a & 14b of the contract in particular. The office staff, in charge of Membership Relations, I found to be rather dishonest! I personally experienced some very unethical tricks when negotiating ... ...who she is, will even insist that she does not receive emails as official notice of resignation or retraction, depending on what benefits her, of course. I have also personally witnessed a long-standing member being refused entry to the club only 2 days after his payment ran out. How ruthless!
Be careful! ...
