Poor customer service from Head Office. Broken and cold showers
Advantages: variety of fitness classes, pool Disadvantages: lack of lockers, lack of usable showers, cramped fitness classes
...services, using all threatening manners to extract payment from you because they say you have signed an agreement, but then they themselves fail to fulfil their side of the agreement. I would not use this gym again and do not recommend the the London Wall branch of LA Fitness ...

waste of time
Advantages: none Disadvantages: dishinest and a waste of time
I was looking for a gym/studio where I could also take my teenage daughter, so phoned up especially to ask if this would be possible at this gym. The man listened to my query, then phoned me back later and said yes. We then went in and were shown around, and encouraged to sign up. Several time during this whole procedure I checked again whether my daughter could use the facilites. We were told yes, and I signed up for a full price membership for ... ...for our induction at the gym, only to be told that she was not, in fact, allowed at her age to use the gym. We had wasted a lot of time and effort, and this was extremely poor service. There was a reason why I had kept checking from the beginning. We were baciscally lied to and fobbed off until we had signed up, then let down. Needless to say I will be cancelling my membership. ...

Great- bit tatty round edges
Advantages: Comfortable, relaxed environment, nice staff Disadvantages: Poor management, verrry pricey
...One hugely annoying thing about Esporta generally is their policy of taking a whole years membership upfront off you. Then just without even a courtesy call to ask if you would like to continue or ask if everything is going ok for you.- renew your membership You get letters only to ask you to recommend friend or to tell you prices have yet again- gone up! A few 'gifts' once a year ie. Vouchers for guest passes etc to show they value you being a customer ... ...nice token- but they just will not do this. As a mobile phone company keeps you happy with upgrades you would have thought a gym where I pay in region of £1000 a year- could show some gratitude??? This less than friendly attitude and manner from management is the one- very serious turn off for me. ...
