Poor customer service from Head Office. Broken and cold showers
Advantages: variety of fitness classes, pool
Disadvantages: lack of lockers, lack of usable showers, cramped fitness classes

Virgin Active Croydon - It Didn't Work Out
Advantages: Clean, functional, has all key facilities and equipment.
Disadvantages: Cramped, basic and has a poor ambiance.

Keeping Fit at a Not So Leisurely Pace
Advantages: Facilities all over the city, no contract to tie you in, excellent service overall
Disadvantages: Occasional staff shortages, unruly kids

La Fitness in Sutton Coldfield - Don't Bother!
Advantages: Location, low price, although quality reflects this
Disadvantages: Poor state of repair, over crowded, bad service, poor value for money.
I joined La Fitness - Sutton Coldfield just under a year ago and I am counting the days until it ends. I thought this gym would be a good choice as it was close to the train station where I get off and would encourage me to go more frequently. There is a Bannatyne at New Oscott but I couldn't face the traffic on the Chester Road.

Disadvantages: Facilities
...has meant that companies like LA Fitness continue to operate when they ought to shrivel up and dissappear. This club is awful! Showers are closed, though if you were to go inside them you would find broken floor tiles and a leaking roof. The exercise studio features a leaking roof and lots of 'feature' puddles that gym instrutors need to warn of, just in case a member falls. The club is like an unwanted puppy - neglected, tired and in need of some ...
