Advantages: Super strong and light, sealed bearings means it will work forever Disadvantages: 20mm axle means it wont work on all forks
...Another excellent product from the Hope range.
The hub is perfect for all types of riding, its light enough for xc riders and also strong enough for the downhill riders. It runs on sealed cartridge bearings that are easily changeable, instructions can be found on the Hope website. The hub body is made of cnc'd aluminum so its light and still strong. It also has the standard 6-bolt disc mount so its compatible with all brake systems. The 20mm axle means it creates a very stiff wheel and front end of the bike that will take all abuse. It comes in all the standard hope colours so you can easily match it to you colour scheme.
A superb hub well worth the money, it will last forever...

Advantages: Outstanding performance in mud Disadvantages: performance on other surfaces is middle to poor
...All tyres are a compromise. The mud Pro is a mud specific tyre, and at this it excels. However it's excellent mud performance is at the expense of it's performance on other terrains.
On MUD: There are 2 thoughts for riding through mud
1) fat tyres run at low pressures to float over the surface.
2) thin tyres at high pressures to cut through the muck and find grip below.
These are firmly in option 2. And in mud they are outstanding. I have personally ridden through 3/4 mile of constant mud, some if it up to 18 inches deep, and while my mates were left carrying their bikes, I just ploughed on through.
Seems to work best at around 50 psi. The narrow profile and tall knobs really do cut through the surface, and where other tyres will just spin these will find grip. As long as you have the power to keep the rear wheel turning this tyre...

Advantages: Everything, build, price, quality, aftercare, look of bike Disadvantages: none
...is to soft this can also be done for the rear coil to.
The rear suspension is X-fusion Glyde RL rear coil shock with lock out a robust set-up that gives you 5 inch of travel, a brilliant spec for a none pro bike.
The gearing system SRAM SX5 27 speed gearing with trigger shifters is soft and sublime and for a start tricky to fathom due to the 2 button system.
When you get topside of this the bike is a smooth dream to ride.
As for stopping with the large diameter and Powerful Tektro IO disc brakes with 180mm front rotor (non hydraulic) this stop you like running into a wall.
They are tort brakes but not to a dangerous uncontrollable level where you could hurt yourself they are probably the best idea for bikes in than last 15 years.
To get you moving and take the hammer of the offloading you would inevitably do on a bike like this the running...

I honestly cannot wait for this game to come out. Halo Wars is a real time strategy game, much like the infamous Command & Conquer games made by Electronic Arts. Many of my friends are avid fans of C&C and are simply wetting themselves, waiting for this... more
