Advantages: cheap, modern looking, lightweight Disadvantages: you have to have one
...Priced from around £39-£50 depending on the required size, this hate is excellent value for money as it meets the European Standard EN1384/2001. I have owned my hat since early 2004 and it is still in excellent condition and looks brand new. Weighing 420g this is a very lightweight hat. The velveteen material is easy to wipe clean and as you can see on the picture there are 3 airvents to help keep your head cool. The padding on the inside has compacted as you would expect so incase it becomes too loose you may need to replace but mine is fine. The chin strap is cushioned and easy to adjust and has a clip fastener so it is very easy to get on and off. The hat is available in black or navy and can be found at most good tack shops or online. This is an excellent hat for everyday use or just as a spare. On purchase, it also came...

...I ride most days at least once and I have a variety of riding boots, both short and long. I have had some HarryHall Faro riding boots for about 18 months now and I have round them really comfortable to ride in. I use them most of the time.

The boots are available in brown or black, mine are black. They are constructed from waterproof leather, almost with the appearance of moleskin. The sole is vibram whatever that is, it is a thick rubber type sole offering good grip. The boots have a long zip at the back which is easy to undo and do up. It also has an adjustable fastening above the zip. The calf has an elasticated insert making it suitable for a variety of calf fittings, especially medium to wide.

Advantages: Quick to put on and take off. Disadvantages: Fit not as good as others.
...Due to the fact that I ride several horses, I do own several pairs of jodphurs. I must be honest and admit that I do ride in jeans but these need to be thin and stretchy preferably. Jodphurs are made specifically with horse riding in mind for comfort and durability, so why do I keep wearing jeans?! I tend to wear what is comfortable and functional. Horse riding does create patches of wear and I have recently invested in several new pairs of jodphurs. I am going to endeavour to wear these from now on. instead of jeans.

HarryHall is a well respected equestrian company. They manufacture jodphurs, jackets and ridinghats. I have a hat by them and have had several pairs of jodphurs in the past. I have always found their products hard wearing, reasonably priced and smart and functional. I have...

Neither this band, nor this album received a mention from me when I completed my most recent Ciao Challenge about the music in my life. I’m not sure why that was really. I may have simply forgotten, or indeed at the time found other tunes and artistes... more
