Advantages: comfy, fantastic fit, long leg length, cheap, excellent value Disadvantages: unknown!
...Expect to pay around £20-25 the RRP is £21.99 for these jodphurs. these are by far my favourite design and i currently own 5 pairs. The are available in black, beige and navy and regular or long leg length starting from 24-32" waist. They are a very flattering fit and comfortable to ride in especially jumping as i tend to find with other jodphurs there isn't much give around the knee area however i have experianced no problems with this design. They are 5% spandex and 95% polyester. I am 5ft 10 and usually find long jodphurs aren't long enough for me but these certainly are long! They also have good knee patches and the traditional belt hoops. I have had no problems with the zip and fasteners. I am currently at Equine college so my jodphurs get worn daily and these aren't ageing at all. The also wash beautifully. I hope harryhall...

Advantages: Quick to put on and take off. Disadvantages: Fit not as good as others.
...several pairs of jodphurs from them which I have found have lasted a while and I know they always fit me. I usually buy on line for convinience and lower prices, so it is always useful to know of a reliable brand that fits me.

HarryHallladies Memphis Jodphurs are available in navy and beige. There is not a vast colour selection, but then a choice between light and dark is good enough. The jodphurs are priced at around £17.99 which is reasonable. They are designed with summer riding in mind as they are lightweight. The material is 96% cotton and 4% spandex meaning that they are cool as well as providing stretch in the material. The jodphurs are low rise and are secured by a drawstring at the waist. They have self knee patches.

Advantages: Cheap, cheerful, functional. Disadvantages: None for the price.
...not familiar with chaps, you mut be wondering the point to them. If you wear long boots, you don`t need them. I wear my HarryHall Faro leather boots a lot of the time, but the beauty of chaps is, they are easy to put on. It is actually easier to walk around the yard in short leather riding boots when getting the horse ready. It is not as hot as wearing long boots and short ones are easier to walk in. When you are ready to ride, just put the chaps on, it takes seconds. It is quicker than changing boots. The only drawback to this is when getting horses in from muddy fields. You will obviously be wearing your wellies then, so it makes no difference. You have to remove your wellies and put on boots so it is not always quicker to put chaps on then. This is why a lot of the time during winter, I tend to wear my long leather boots.
