Advantages: Great fun, always makes me smile Disadvantages: PG rating though
This has always been one of my favourite comedy series. It's perfectly cast and the timing is just superb. From Trigger (Roger Lloyd Pack) calling Rodney "Dave" and not getting any jokes, a bit like Alice on the Vicar Of Dibley to Del Boy Calling Rodney a "Plonker" and Boycie's silly laugh. If you've seen them once, you can watch each and every episode again almost until you memorise the comedy. Who will forget Del Boy, out on the town and feeling cocky trying to impress some girls only to find the barman swings back the part of the bar in order to get out that Del Boy was leaning on and Del Boy leans back, this time falling over, drink in hand! Or the Batman and Robin sketch, turning up to that party, and then the chandeliers. Very funny and will always be so. This was a Christmas present and I have never stopped watching these ...
Advantages: Beautiful countryside views, peaceful and log cabins are fab! Disadvantages: Quiet setting - too quiet for some, on site facilities limited
have to re-heated again the next time you turned it on taking another 16 hours and using more electricity! The electricty is by a meter that is paid at the end of your stay, as previously mentioned. We thought we would run a massive bill with having the hot tub, but the bill at the end of the week was £45.00 total. This was for all the electricity in the cabin. We did not think this was bad split between us, as we were expecting it to be alot more! It was great for the kids to use during the day, but well worth it for the adults after they've gone to bed!
LOCATION
Hartland Forest is in DEVON not CORNWALL! If you leave the site onto the A39 and turn left Cornwalls border is 3 miles away!
I must say it is very secluded in the sense local shops and supermarkets are a good drive away. Bideford was about 20 mins away to access a town ...
Advantages: great fun and lots of laughter Disadvantages: not enough episodes
Only fools and horses began its life in 1981, penned by John Sullivan, who also wrote Citizen Smith.
The seven series, (and 19 Christmas specials) lasted through till 2003 and revolved around two main characters, Derek (Del)Trotter, (played by David Jason) and his younger brother Rodney, (played by Nicholas Lyndhurst), they lived at 23 Nelson Mandela house, a block of high rise flats in Peckham and drove a bright yellow three wheeled van with 'Trotters Independent Traders' painted on it.
Derek, or Del boy as everyone knew him, was a trader of sorts, ducking and diving through life, buying and selling anything he and his brother Rodney could get there hands on.
Rodney, however, was the more law abiding of the two, always being dragged into Dels tricks.
