Heart monitor review
Review of Polar RS200Sd Heart Rate Monitors by xHitchyx

Advantages: Manage your heart rate to a very high level
Disadvantages: I wouldnt use this watch if I wanted to measure how far I had run

...your gym). In terms of polar watches this watch has alot to give, with a pc program to upload your information, and a online facility there are lots of things you can do with the information. But for me I don't need to monitor my heart rate, I just want to measure how far I have ran. This watch doesnt do this to a high enough standard, the process is too complex. There are easier watches out there for this. ... Read review

Disadvantages: A little tricky to work out to start with

Polar RS100 Heart Rate Monitor This is the second heart rate monitor that i have bought, the first one was years ago and on the rare occaision it did pick up your pulse it went completely wrong if you were near anything electrical or any other heart rate monitors. Bearing this in mind i was a liitle wary of getting another but i have currently started training to complete a half marathon and depending on how well it goes i may enter a full marathon ...

Don't Waste Your Money
Review of Polar Cs 300 Heart Rate Monitors by FredFournier

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: You name it

I bought a Polar CS300 about two months ago and I'm getting ready to send back the fourth watch to Polar. For those that don't know this monitor can upload your ride to Polars website via a sonic link. Well the first one had such a low volume it would take forever before I could get a good upload. Called Polar, sent it back and they sent me another one. Had the exact same problem. Sent it back, got another one. This one was fine as far a the uplink, ...
...quit showing, then the cadence would quit and the speed would start up. Then the heart rate would go crazy then the speed would quit. So on and so on. Sent it back, and got the fourth one yesterday. Went for a ride this morning, got back, tried to upload and nothing. Not a peep out of it. And they have the nerve to tell me they have had no problems with this watch. Ladies and gentelmen, don't waste your money. ... Read review

Polar CS100 Heart Rate Monitor
Review of Polar Cs100 Heart Rate Monitors by EasyExercise.co.uk

Advantages: Compact, Cheap, Robust
Disadvantages: Tricky to use

I have owned one of these for about 2 years now, and it is still going strong. It does all the usual cycle computer things, but also displays your heart rate, calories burned, etc. You can also programme to use on 2 separate bikes - very handy, when like me you have two bikes but don't want to shell out for two computers!! SETUP AND USE Easy to follow step by step instructions. When it comes to operating the computer unit, this is where you need ...
...sub-programme, etc. This is one way that the unit can be kept the size that it is though. Once you have dialled in the settings specific to your bike, day to day use of the computer is easy. POSITIVES Large read out. Back light - can be tricky to use though.....when it's dark. Compact design. Wireless speed sensor for your forks. Has all the functions required for a heart rate monitor computer. Robust design. Can give you daily, weekly, monthly ... Read review

Stylish heart rate monitor
Review of Suunto T1 Heart Rate Monitors by andy-g

Advantages: Looks good, very comfortable
Disadvantages: Poor battery life, small buttons

Stylish, lightweight heart rate monitor Likes This is a very good looking watch, mine has a dark face, black rubber strap and white surround and five, round chrome buttons. The surround has some small text on it, but to be honest, its too small to read and is for show only. The face is larger than many sports watches, but is very discrete, and can be set to a dark backlight, so you'd be pushed to know it was an HRM. I happily wear ...
...wear - the watch is very light, and the rubber strap is soft and pliant - needs tightening a notch before a run though. The heart rate strap is very comfortable and is better made than others I've owned, (Timex and Oregon). The shiny screen is very scratch resistant Dislikes Battery life on my particular watch hasn't been great, mine might be odd but I've used four batteries in a year - keep your warranty, especially on a watch that cost ...
