Review of Polar RS100 Heart Rate Monitors by hammer4

Advantages: Just like having your own personal trainer
Disadvantages: A little tricky to work out to start with

Polar RS100 Heart Rate Monitor This is the second heart rate monitor that i have bought, the first one was years ago and on the rare occaision it did pick up your pulse it went completely wrong if you were near anything electrical or any other heart rate monitors. Bearing this in mind i was a liitle wary of getting another but i have currently started training to complete a half marathon and depending on how well it goes i may enter a full marathon ...

Novelty Item # 132
Review of Polar F6F Heart Rate Monitors by JunePixie

Advantages: Could eliminate wasteful time spent exercising
Disadvantages: Don't use it anymore, not an esential item.

...you to transfer data to/from Polar fitness trainer website. PLUS AND MINUS POINTS + Good value for money + Accurate results + Excellent way to optimise time spent in gym + Good after sales from Polar (you can send your watch to get batteries changed) + No problems whatsoever with durability or watch functions - Does not give distance, eg; if running outdoors. - Strap is restricting at times. - Fiddly at times unless you have prepared settings ...

I would totally agree that beginners in the gym need to be aware that a stroll on the treadmill at 5.5 for 20 minutes 3 times a week is not going to get you fit. You need to get your heart rate in your personal 'zone', for this end I would recommend ... Read review

Stylish heart rate monitor
Review of Suunto T1 Heart Rate Monitors by andy-g

Advantages: Looks good, very comfortable
Disadvantages: Poor battery life, small buttons

Stylish, lightweight heart rate monitor Likes This is a very good looking watch, mine has a dark face, black rubber strap and white surround and five, round chrome buttons. The surround has some small text on it, but to be honest, its too small to read and is for show only. The face is larger than many sports watches, but is very discrete, and can be set to a dark backlight, so you'd be pushed to know it was an HRM. I happily wear ...
...wear - the watch is very light, and the rubber strap is soft and pliant - needs tightening a notch before a run though. The heart rate strap is very comfortable and is better made than others I've owned, (Timex and Oregon). The shiny screen is very scratch resistant Dislikes Battery life on my particular watch hasn't been great, mine might be odd but I've used four batteries in a year - keep your warranty, especially on a watch that cost ...
