Batiste Dry Shampoo (Original, Blush, and Tropical)

Advantages: hair feels clean, looks clean, and smells great
Disadvantages: can make hair look a little powdery if not used correctly

I absolutely love this product. One of the best haircare products on the market and extremely good value for money. Batiste dry shampoo is for use between washes, maybe if you're in a rush and can't wash and style your hair quickly enough or you don't have access to a shower (camping etc). The shampoo itself is a dry spray of talc. You shake the can vigourously then spray at roots or fringe, or specific parts you want to clean. You then rub it like you would with normal shampoo then comb out. But i find combing is not enough and your hair can look slightly powdery. I find it works very well if you brush a towel over your hair, particularly on the top layer so that no white residue remains. The powder absorbs any extra oils, grease, and dirt, and is bushed out leaving your hair feeling clean, looking nice, and smelling great. The smell ...

Review of Batiste Dry Shampoo

Henry the cleaner . . .

Advantages: Suction is brilliant.
Disadvantages: Looks are a little industrial.

. . . This review is on the very robust Henry Numatic model HVR 200. You will know it as soon as you see it as it has a smiley face, and comes in four colours, red green blue & yellow, well now they have added another to the range - PINK!!! Technically this one is called HETTY, but it is identical otherwise. The shape is cylindrical, but not laid down, it is upright, like an oil drum, and has a buffer ring surrounding it, which does not mark walls. It is mounted on castors, and so is easy to move about. As for the suction, I can only say it is brilliant, the cable is wound up neatly in it's own drum, all tools are there, the machine itself is light enough to be carried up the stairs, what more could you want in a cleaner? There is of course a down side, but not much of one, for instance it is not easy to vacuum the stairs as ...

Lloyds on Lloyds

Advantages: Many branches, deposits easily made
Disadvantages: Sometimes the shear size cannot deal with individuals across depts

. And unless you are turning over £100k + they really don't want to be helpful. Mortgages : they can offer good deals, but your paperwork must be meticulously in order before they even entertain you. Once it is then a 20% deposit would get you a competive deal. Otherwise, forget it. Generally, I have moved from the original Midland Bank (HSBC now) when I opened the much loved Griffin Savers account, then during my studies I was with Barclays. I also had accounts with Abbey. And now I have accounts with both Lloyds TSB and Natwest. Both banks generally have been good to me, but in times of difficulty Lloyds TSB, although behaving like a bank, was nowhere near as bad as Barclays. So, in a nutshell, Lloyds TSB is great if you know what you want and have a lot of money. But that is true of many banks. The difference here, in my ...
