Hi-Tec Eagle Hybrid Golf Shoe

Advantages: Excellent grip and very light.
Disadvantages: Narrow shoe.

...Overall these are very decent shoes for the money. Great grip on court and very light. Though you have a wider foot, like myself, these shoes are not for you. They are quite narrow and take some stretching. Order a (UK) half size larger than you are usually for best fit. I've been playing a regular 6 - 9 hours a week for 6 months while wearing these shoes and they have fared quite well. With all the stop/start and lunging and jumping movements of playing badminton the "High Tec" logo has come away from the shoe (where it is glued) and the stitching has begun to split away from the logo. This is probably just wear and tear from regular/hard usage. I'd recommend these shoes for a badminton player of good ability but someone who only plays 3-4 hours per week.... Read review

...Purchased a pair of these golf shoes three weeks ago on th 29-Sept-2009.Whn they arrived the looked super and just what I wanted smart wee bit flash and Footjoy.After one round of golf they look like my old ones with the white leather across they front creasing badly.I tried puting leather protector on as footjoy said I should,all this has done no good today after five rounds of golf they are starting to split along the bottom.They are now on there way back to the shop who supplied them.(the shop is superb and it is not there fault).In summary there are plenty of very good golf shoes out there unfortunately The Footjoy AQL does not appear to be the best.I do have three other pairs of footjoy shoes which have served me well so this may be just a one off.... ...Initially I was very dubious on the whole new revolution that is a hybrid club, despite friends telling me how good they are. Put simply a hybrid is a new type of club that is part-driver, part-iron and looks exactly like you'd imagine, the face is like an iron but the back of the club is a similar shape to a driver. I'd always thought of these clubs as a gimmicky-satellite tv shopping channel waste of money….. until I tried one. I had decided to change my irons so took a trip down to a local golf shop/driving range to try out the Callaway X-20's. After I'd hit a few shots with a Callaway X-20 7-iron I went back and spoke to the club pro about the problem I was facing. The only reason I wanted to buy a new set of irons was because I couldn't use my 'skinny' 3-4 iron effectively enough, the clubs offered so little forgiveness... Read review
