I have had my Magnumboots, the Patrol version, for approximately twelve months, wearing them for approximately 40 hours every week at work. Before these boots I had a cheaper pair of non-branded boots which last two months before they scuffed beyond repair, the soles came loose and the laces broke.
Magnumboots are described by the manufacturer as the first choice for emergency service personnel, including the police and ambulance services. I use my boots at work with the ambulance service, working long twelve hour shifts - so a good pair of boots is a must.
When you first put on a pair of Magnums they do not seem to differ from standard boots - they have the usual reinforced toecaps, standard lacings and leather outers. When you first start moving however you notice how light they are, you feel more like you are wearing a pair ...

Advantages: Excellent grip and very light. Disadvantages: Narrow shoe.
Overall these are very decent shoes for the money. Great grip on court and very light.
Though you have a wider foot, like myself, these shoes are not for you. They are quite narrow and take some stretching. Order a (UK) half size larger than you are usually for best fit.
I've been playing a regular 6 - 9 hours a week for 6 months while wearing these shoes and they have fared quite well.
With all the stop/start and lunging and jumping movements of playing badminton the "High Tec" logo has come away from the shoe (where it is glued) and the stitching has begun to split away from the logo. This is probably just wear and tear from regular/hard usage.
I'd recommend these shoes for a badminton player of good ability but someone who only plays 3-4 hours per week. ...

Walls Magnum Temptation Chocolate Ice Cream.....
Now even though I am on a healthy eating regime, it doesn't stop me having a treat now and again. This means that I was tempted into the half price offer I saw recently in Tesco for these Magnum Temptation Chocolate ice Creams.
They were on special at £1.49p for a pack of three ice creams a price that I think is fairly reasonable for Magnums. There was a choice between the Chocolate or Caramel but being a self confessed chocoholic I of course opted for the chocolate version.
The wrapping on these ice creams is fairly special because they come individually house within a cardboard box making them seem very luxurious and expensive. The box is easy to open and makes sure that the ice cream inside is safe and wont get crushed easily.
