...is a waterproofed zip. Why Berghaus decided to put a waterproof zip at the side of the pack when the pack itself is not waterproff is beyond me, but when traveling abroad in hot climates it is a great feature - you can just reach in and grab something. At the front of the pack there is a pocket. I have heard hat this pocket is fully waterproof on 2004 versions of the cyclops, but in 2002 it had a mesh drainage patch at the bottom. ...be pretty strong to carry the bag for any length of time and most importantly I think detatchable rucksack style carrying straps for carrying, well, like a rucksack! There is one internal mesh pocket which built into the main flap on the top of the bag, zip closing but stuff falls out of this quite easily into the main comartment when the zip is open.
