Disapointing Footwear

Advantages: Kept feet Dry
Disadvantages: Dont last and poorly manafactured

I have been extremely disappointed with my Gortex Hillmaster walking boots. I am now on my third pair, the first 2 pairs had to be replaced because the ankle supports split, Now the third have completely worn down on the heels exposing the soft spongy substance underneath. Disadvantages: Not waterproof

Buy one and a half sizes up from your normal size. I am a size six and a half normally, and would not have been comfortable in anything other that the size eight that I bought. The boots are NOT waterproof, even after the first use in mildly wet conditions. I will have to buy a spray to see if I can make them waterproof. I had read other reviews saying that these boots were not waterproof, but decided to go for them anyway and waterproof them myself ...

these shoes are made for walking

Advantages: long lasting, ideal changing weather
Disadvantages: you get so used to wearing them you don't like going out in your heels!
