These Boots are Made for Walking
Advantages: My feet are in love with these boots Disadvantages: They're not cheap
...love with a pair of Brasher Supalites and I didn't have the heart to say no. With a 10% discount they cost me £108 and he assured me they were worth every penny.
Bad Boot History
****************
At this stage I'd been fighting the need to buy proper boots. As a student I studied geology and spent a lot of wet miserable weeks plodding over mountains with wet feet. In my book, proper boots weighed a tonne and took a lot of looking after. We used ... ...you've gotta love em.
Brasher Superlites need:
To be worn and loved
To be treated once in a blue moon with a specialist cream that doesn't block the Goretex pores
Things you shouldn't do in Brashers
Let a guy on the side of the street clean them for you, however much he begs and pleads - ordinary polish will block your goretex
Lend them to your friends - they'll never give them back
Really hard ...

these shoes are made for walking
Advantages: long lasting, ideal changing weather Disadvantages: you get so used to wearing them you don't like going out in your heels!
...are the third pair of Salomon shoes I’ve owned and I don’t think I will ever buy a different brand of walking shoe again. I live in a hilly area and don’t have a car and therefore do a lot of walking, not only are they incredibly comfortable but they keep my feet dry in the wettest of weather but at the same time circulate air and therefore I’ve never had the ‘smelly trainer’ problem. Basically they are warm and dry in winter and cool in the summer.
... ...also wear them for more challenging walking, for example coastal path walks.
My last pair lasted over three years with consistent use but not until the very end did they show any sign of their age.
I also, and I know this is a very personal preference, find them much more attractive than a normal trainer. ...

With my amazon vouchers from dooyoo i have bought some Karrimor traveller walking shoes at £14.57 (a bargain price) They arrived last week and are absolutly perfect. Very comfortable and soft yet supportive on the ankle. Although i havent used them for climbing yet i have worn them out a few times and they are brilliant! I have also got my eye ... ...far as walking boots ond equipment can go!) Overall --------- A great low cost brand more than fit for purpose. Walking on air
Advantages: Comfort, value for money, weight Disadvantages: difficult to clean
...have owned a pair of karrimor ksb walking boots for about 4 years now. Mine are a sandy colour and will no doubt have been superceded by a new model! They are very minimalist in their design and not at all flashy, which I like. I use them maybe 6 or 7 times a year and they are still holding up well. I use them for hill walking in the spring to autumn in Scotland. As they are fabric boots you might expect them to let water in however I have never ... ...go walking in extreme conditions, but them I have set out on glorious summer days and been caught out by thunder storms. My feet have always stayed dry, even when splashing through puddles.
I find these boots quite narrow, which suits my feet, but this may not be suitable for all. They are very cushioned on the inside, even 4 years on and offer good ankle support.
I'm trying to be unbiased, but I cannot really think of anything bad to say about ...

Berghaus Blues
Advantages: very comfortable, all day 3-4 season boot, all terrain, fully laden Disadvantages: initial outlay is large but they will last for years. no half sizes
Today I’ll be talking about Berghaus GR20 GTX hiking boots in detail. Like a lot of hikers I do have more than one pair of suitable footwear; which range from a pair of Merrell trail sandals to the high ankle Berghaus GR20’s.
It is important to wear appropriate footwear and this can vary from hike to hike as there are many variables such as weather, terrain, hike length and pack load. The Berghaus GR20 GTX boots ≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈•≈
... ...laden multi-day backpack.
The Berghaus GR20 GTX boots are available in either women’s or men’s; women’s sizes range from a 36 to a 42, men’s range from 39 to a 48. Increments are in full sizes only; they don’t do half sizes but the fittings are quite wide. A pair of size 36 weighs around 700g and a size 42 weighs around 850g so they aren’t that heavy. The men’s are available in black and graphite and the women’s are in graphite or midnight blue ...
