walking shoes or ballet shoes?

Advantages: low on the tendon so comfy at the back of the foot
Disadvantages: midsole just not stiff enough for people of 13 stone

I bought Scafell because I needed some lightweight waterproof walking boots and was bored with getting my feet soaked in soggy trainers. These might be waterproof, they certainly worked in some light rain for an hour but the soles just don't have the stiffness for anyone my weight 13.5st / 89Kg I feel every pebble, and its not nice. Disapointing Footwear

Advantages: Kept feet Dry
Disadvantages: Dont last and poorly manafactured

I have been extremely disappointed with my Gortex Hillmaster walking boots. I am now on my third pair, the first 2 pairs had to be replaced because the ankle supports split, Now the third have completely worn down on the heels exposing the soft spongy substance underneath. these shoes are made for walking

Advantages: long lasting, ideal changing weather
Disadvantages: you get so used to wearing them you don't like going out in your heels!
