Advantages: Lightweight, superior quality, large living space for its class Disadvantages: None
...We have had our Hilleberg Nalo 2 GT since 2002 so feel able to write review of it after several years of use. It has been around the world with us and is every bit as good now as it was on its first use.
At the time of buying it, we had never heard of Swedish manufacturer Hilleberg until we were introduced to the Nalo GT at tent show. We were looking for a lightweight tent to replace our North Face starburst and fell in love with the Nalo. The living space is huge for a 2 man tent. You could squeeze 3 people into the sleeping area at a push and the vestible space offers loads of room for gear (even a bike if you are touring).
It is hard to believe that such a spacious tent weighs only 2.4kg. That is thanks to the superlight 9mm poles and Kerlon 1200 fabric that Hilleberg use for their tents. The fabric is so thin that we wondered...

Advantages: Large lightweight, yet strong, dome-shaped family tent for 4 people Disadvantages: Zips in doorway not ideally positioned for rainy day use.
...The VaudeBase Dome 2 is a fairly large stable dome tent with two separate sleeping compartments. Two of the four poles intersect to form the central dome which is 1.9metres high. The other two poles support two separate sleeping compartments. Each one is large enough for a double airbed or two singles side by side. Either or both of these compartments can be removed for extra indoor space. It's an ideal family camping tent that's a manageable size and weight, around 9kg. With one of the sleeping compartments removed there is enough space inside to fit a small table and a couple of chairs. It's make a great luxury base camp for two adults with lots of space for gear. For four adults space is less but still good. We use it primarily as a summer base camp tent for climbing trips to the european alps (usually hot...

Advantages: Lightweight, Easy to Erect, Great Value Disadvantages: Porch uncovered when front door open
...I bought this tent for a 2 night stay for just myself to use. I bought it from Go Outdoors for just £25 although other websites and shops sell them at a little more than this, most of them retail at around £35.
First of all it comes in a neat little carry bag which took up hardly any room at all in my car!!!
I decided not to attempt putting up the tent before i went away as i normally do so i have some idea of how it goes together!! I decided it shouldn't be too difficult as it was only small....i was right, it was easy to put up and didn't take long at all. For a two man tent it has a good sized storage area or porch at the front. The ground sheet in the porch is also sewn in which saves extra faffing once the tent is up.
I could easily lie down in the tent and another person would easily have fitted in there with me too...
