Hippo Giant 420S Pure Titanium Driver Graphite Shaft 420cc HeadChoice of lofts and flex Hit the longest drives with this pure titanium driver from Hippo Golf Right or Left Handed. Oversized Forged Titanium Head for maximum forgiveness on off centre strikes 9 or 10° Loft for a penetrating ball flight. Hippo Giant Low Torque 100% Graphite Shaft - Regular or Firm FlexHippo Grip Mens Right or Left Handed. Brand newManufactured from 6-4 titanium for superior strength and lightness the heads are of a three piece construction allowing for superior internal weight distribution.o The 420-S driver offers a larger effective hitting area making it the most forgiving driver ever to feature in the Hippo line up.o The 420-S features a back weighted centre of gravity to get the ball up quickly for higher trajectory drives.o The deep face design and power channel soleplates create excellent impact efficiency for penetrating, powerful drives. A controlled face thickness makes the clubface thicker in the centre and ultra thin around the edges for an increased C.O.Ro A high coefficient of restitution (C.O.R) provides more efficient energy transfer to the ball during impact. This means that golfers of all ability levels and club head speeds can generate more ball speed for greater distance.
...The 975D is the sort of driver that everyone should have as it makes the most impressive sound on impact of any driver I have ever heard. Apart from that though, how does it fair against other Drivers on the market - such as the Callaway ERCII or the Taylor Made 300 series? Actually it does remarkably well. I use the 8 degree Driver and find that the ball flight is very good and am now hitting the ball straighter than I ever had. The distance off the tee is very useful and also the ability to shape shots is good as it can sometimes be hard to do this with a driver but easy with this club. I work in a pro shop so know a lot about this sort of thing - take my word for it this is a great club (bit pricy though!)...

Advantages: Very long hitting club.Powerful penetrating ball flight.983E Disadvantages: 983E not as forgiving as 983K
...My handicap is 7 and I play on a seaside course in Devon England, I say this to give you a baseline for comparison reasons.
As soon as I saw the 983 Series I knew I had to have one. These are such good looking clubs.
Tried 983K and 983 E eventually settled on 983E with 9.5 loft Grafalloy stiff shaft.
983E
First time on course I was absolutely stunned by this club. Amazing ball flight and markedly longer than my previous driver a Titleist 975J. Perhaps by an average of 15 yards.
The ball flight is a low rainbow shape. The club sets up to the ball very easily but does require a high tee peg. I find that setting the ball up further forward i.e almost off your toe increases length and promotes accuracy.
I was sceptical of the Graffalloy shaft as I am not a fan of light shafts. This doubt was eventually proven correct, (I...

Advantages: eliminates high right Disadvantages: costy
...Having suffered for the last couple of years with the classic "big-right" shot and having put the pro through many strenous unsuccessful lessons i decided that having spent as much on lessons as a new top of the range club would cost i decided that now was to fork out the price of these lessons again and to buy a new driver to try to eliminate this ever growing problem preventing me from decreasing to the single figures which i knew i deserved. naturally when i was looking in the market i was drawn in by the titleist 975D driver as its promise to eliminate thew "high right" shot from your game.
Naturally when i first found out that it had not eliminate it from my game i was very dissapointed and was on the edge of giving the game up. However my pro said that i should stick at it and amazingly within a few rounds my slice became...

Walking through my local Comet store with the husband, we were discussing games for 'girlies' when I said that I fancied something a little bit business like, something like The Sims, but with a purpose to aim for. On the bargain rail, there was a copy... more
