So carrying on with childrens game reviews I had to do one on the classic even I had as a child. Yes we are talking about Hungrey hippos. Some games just don't go out of style and this certainley has'nt, must stiil sell well. Made by MB games a long standing company of the production of childrens games and have been around since I was little maybe longer. Other games made by MB include Guess Who another old favourite, There are to many others to mention.
PACKAGING
The game comes in an easy to open cardboard box. With Hungrey Hippos written in bold red letters with a yellow edge. Cartoon Hippos are decorated all over the box with marbles also displayed. I opened that packet of playmobil lions we got from the playmobil site http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-GB-Site/enGB/Product-Sho w?pid=7895&cgid= they cost about £7. These lions are an addition to the zoo set but could be used for circus play too.
There are 4 lions a female lion a male lion and 2 identical lion cubs. These lions are made of a golden coloured plastic. The male has a brown mane. The animals all have brown eyes and noses. The male and females jaws are open wide. The heads of all the animals can be moved up and down, where the necks of all the animals join the body they are jointed. I have always been a fan of Kinder chocolate. Usually Galaxy and Cadbury win but I like the fact that Kinder doesn't just do strictly chocolate and have some unusual parts of their selection. I like the Kinder Maxi, Bueno and surprise but lately I have been finding that I like the Happy Hippo.
I don't know why but at first when anyone used to offer me one of these Happy Hippo's I used to just not like the looks of it or want to try it. I think the fact that it wasn't chocolate made me feel less excited about trying it. However, I was really hungry one day and thought oh I'll give it a try.
